Our "Non-EITP Events" calendar also includes events from other sponsoring entities that have been reviewed by EITP for Early Intervention credit. These events are shared as training resources to the field. These reviewed events are posted to our training calendar as a courtesy not as an endorsement. Please check the calendar for the amount of credit for each event. Training events may be face-to-face or online.

Lists of videos, by topic, that are approved by Early Intervention Training Program (EITP) for continuing education and available from the EI Clearinghouse. The videos are assigned to a designated core content area. Since April 2006, a maximum of 5 hours of EI credit via videos may be used for every 30 hours of continuing education submitted for renewal and/or core knowledge area documentation purposes for early... The EI Clearinghouse has worked with the Early Intervention Training Program to identify videos available from the EI Clearinghouse lending library that have been approved for EI credit hours. While providers cannot use video-based training for all of the required training hours, they can apply for credit for at least some of the required hours. Several of these videos can be viewed online.

Video-based credits are based on contact time, so a half-hour video would equal a half hour of credit, a one-hour video would equal one hour of credit, etc. Each video viewed requires the completion of an EI Training Video Credit Request Form, which is to be sent to the EI Training Program when completed. After your information is reviewed and approved, you will receive a Certificate of Credit indicating that you have earned contact hours equal to the video running time (to the nearest quarter hour) to apply... Welcome to the Illinois Early Intervention Training Program. Below you will find some helpful information that will help you navigate the requirements for new providers in the Illinois Early Intervention System. The Illinois Interagency Council on Early Intervention's "Principles of Early Intervention" guide the outcomes we hope to achieve through Early Intervention and our Early Intervention Training Model. All early interventionists in Illinois should adhere to these principles as they serve children and families. Early Interventionists may want to reflect on what each principles means to them and what it looks like in practice. This activity can be done individually, with peers, and with families.

The required Illinois Early Intervention System Overview trainings listed below must be completed within the 3 years prior to applying for an Illinois Early Intervention Credential. If completed more than 3 years before applying for the credential, individuals will need to repeat both.

The Early Intervention (EI) program ensures infants and toddlers with developmental delays, certain diagnosed medical conditions, or other factors that put them at risk of substantial delay have the best chance for healthy development. Children can access a range of therapeutic, developmental, and social-emotional services while their families receive coaching and support to further the gains of their children. Live video visits (LVV) are one option for you and your child to receive early intervention services.
