All early interventionists in Illinois should adhere to these principles as they serve children and families. All providers entering the IL Early Intervention System are required to complete the Systems Overview Training. The Training Program works very hard to develop training curriculum that reflects Illinois policies and procedures as well as best practices in the field of early intervention. In addition to the System Overview, any training activity sponsored by the IL Early Intervention Training Program is a good choice and is endorsed by the IL Bureau of Early Intervention. These activities are posted on our website with a green EI icon next to the event title. Online registration is available for these events. We'd recommend any of them.

Some important sessions are "Key Principles in EI", "Assessment in EI", and "Hawaii Early Learning Profile". We also have a variety of online curriculum that are free of charge. Other upcoming events posted to our website have been through the EI credit review process and based on the information reviewed have been determined to be appropriate to count towards your Illinois early intervention... However, the Training Program neither endorses, guarantees, nor promotes the content of those training events. The Bureau of Early Intervention within the Illinois Department of Human Services is the lead agency for services for children birth to age three with developmental delays or disabilities and their families in Illinois. The Bureau administers the statewide Early Intervention Services system in coordination with its administrative partners.
