2025 2 round nfl mock draft travis hunter goes somewhere new 49ers

The 2024 college football season is officially underway and we've gotten our first chance to see some of the best prospects in the country make a first impression on NFL teams. That includes Colorado superstar prospects Travis Hunter, one of the most versatile players at any level of football, and Shedeur Sanders, who could be the QB1 of the 2025 NFL Draft. Call us prisoners of the moment, but the display we saw from both Hunter and Sanders in their season-opener against North Dakota State definitely got them both off on the right foot as far... We also had the legendary Dane Brugler drop a top 50 players list recently, giving some insight into which players could be the most coveted by NFL teams going into the 2024 season. To determine the order for this 2025 NFL mock draft, I used the order of teams in my final preseason power rankings before the regular season starts. With that in mind, let's jump into the picks, including an extreme rarity of all 32 teams being included in the 1st round.

There is absolutely no denying that Travis Hunter is an electric talent. Even though you expect a team like Colorado to put up numbers against an FCS team (even a powerhouse at that level like NDSU), it’s obvious that Hunter is special. He passes the eye test, he makes ridiculous plays, and he has the look of a future superstar at receiver in the NFL. The Panthers picking 1st overall might consider the QB Shedeur Sanders here, but Hunter could be the best overall talent in the class. The Las Vegas Raiders have the single worst quarterback situation in the NFL right now. Getting Shedeur Sanders would give them a fighting chance in a division with Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert already established as stars and the Broncos potentially finding their guy in Bo Nix.

Sanders has all of the tools to be an effective starter immediately. The NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis this week is a pivotal time for the pre-draft process. Teams across the league have narrowed down their draft boards and will be meeting with prospects for interviews that could help determine who they take in with their first-round pick. Acing those interviews, combine drills and passing medical evaluations will be key for hundreds of prospects. In a class lacking lots of top-tier talent, a good showing in all three phases of the combine could make a difference of a round come April's NFL draft. This draft class boasts one of the best running back groups in years along with deep classes at edge rusher, interior defensive line, interior offensive line and tight end.

That knowledge could play into how teams make their decisions in the first two rounds of the NFL draft. 2025 NFL draft big board: Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter lead consensus top 50 prospects 2025 NFL draft: Pro comparisons for Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter and other top 10 players The 2025 NFL Draft is just weeks away. That's why yours truly is coming to you with a fourth mock draft. At this stage in the draft cycle, there's not much more to sort through.

The picture at the top of the NFL Draft has shifted now that pro days are in the books. There is a new order for the top four picks with 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter (WR/CB) flying up the board and quarterback Shedeur Sanders sliding after Colorado's pro day. Colorado Swiss army knife Travis Hunter is one of the most unique NFL Draft prospects in years. The Heisman contender is considered one of the best prospects at both wide receiver and cornerback, raising legitimate questions about his highest-ceiling position in the league. Below we take a look at Hunter’s 2024 season, his projected landing spot in our latest mock draft, player comparisons, and more. In the latest mock draft from Pro Football Network NFL Draft Analyst Ian Cummings, Hunter was selected No. 3 overall by the Tennessee Titans.

Here’s what Cummings had to say on Hunter’s potential fit in Nashville, Tenn.: “The Titans didn’t have a chance to pick one of the two top quarterbacks in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, but they still came away with a blue-chip talent in Travis Hunter. And with Hunter, they can toy with the idea of adding an evolutionary playmaker at WR or CB. Super Bowl 59 is now set, with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles meeting in New Orleans. While they are focused on hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, the other 30 NFL franchises are getting a head start on their respective offseasons. With that in mind, here’s an updated 2025 NFL mock draft.

No trades were predicted in this mock, but if you're itching to make moves, subscribe and fully explore PFF's Mock Draft Simulator. It’s certainly possible that the Titans will stick at No. 1 and take a quarterback, but let’s have some fun. Recently, Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker said Tennessee wouldn’t pass on a “generational talent” with the first pick. While some took that to mean Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter, I believe Hunter is the only player who could truly deserve that label. The Heisman Trophy winner is the greatest two-way player in college football history, placing sixth among FBS wideouts in PFF receiving grade and third among cornerbacks in PFF coverage grade.

He’s the best football player in this draft, one who could help the Titans at arguably the two most valuable non-quarterback positions. The Browns are seemingly stuck with Deshaun Watson’s contract for the next couple of seasons, but he could potentially miss all of 2025 after re-tearing his Achilles. Cleveland gets a head start on his replacement by selecting Ward here. His 91.7 PFF passing grade this past season led all FBS quarterbacks. It has been a wild last couple of weeks of the NFL season and that has shaken up the potential draft order for 2025. That means the top prospects could be shifting around in the 2025 NFL Draft.

There has been a lot of movement in the last few weeks for what team will land the number 1 pick. The Patriots are the new team holding the top pick with the Titans falling second and the Browns third. Check out our latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft. Interested in DFS? The question will be do they take the best available tackle (Kelvin Banks Jr. or Will Campbell) or do they go with the best athlete in the draft? Travis Hunter could have an impact on both sides of the ball and might be too talented for the Patriots to pass up. There hasn’t been a wide receiver or cornerback drafted first since 1996 when the Jets took WR Keyshawn Johnson. The Titans need help on the offensive line but they also don’t know what they are going to do at quarterback. Kelvin Banks Jr.

is the top tackle in the draft. He has great lateral quickness and walls off defenders. He has the ability to develop into an elite pass blocker in Tennessee and protect whoever Tennessee has calling the shots.
