2025 Nfl Mock Draft Travis Hunter Goes No 1 Cam Ward Joins Pff
Super Bowl 59 is now set, with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles meeting in New Orleans. While they are focused on hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, the other 30 NFL franchises are getting a head start on their respective offseasons. With that in mind, here’s an updated 2025 NFL mock draft. No trades were predicted in this mock, but if you're itching to make moves, subscribe and fully explore PFF's Mock Draft Simulator. It’s certainly possible that the Titans will stick at No. 1 and take a quarterback, but let’s have some fun.
Recently, Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker said Tennessee wouldn’t pass on a “generational talent” with the first pick. While some took that to mean Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter, I believe Hunter is the only player who could truly deserve that label. The Heisman Trophy winner is the greatest two-way player in college football history, placing sixth among FBS wideouts in PFF receiving grade and third among cornerbacks in PFF coverage grade. He’s the best football player in this draft, one who could help the Titans at arguably the two most valuable non-quarterback positions. The Browns are seemingly stuck with Deshaun Watson’s contract for the next couple of seasons, but he could potentially miss all of 2025 after re-tearing his Achilles. Cleveland gets a head start on his replacement by selecting Ward here.
His 91.7 PFF passing grade this past season led all FBS quarterbacks. It is April, and the 2025 NFL Draft is just a few weeks away! What is going to happen in the first round? We take a look at another 2025 NFL Mock Draft to see where top prospects like Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, and Abdul Carter fall. The Titans keep number 1 and go with Cam Ward to start our latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft. The Browns get an elite edge rusher, while the Patriots add one of the most versatile prospects in recent memory.
The Titans have been impressed with Cam Ward during his workouts, and we think it’s enough to keep the No. 1 pick and select him at the top of the draft. Ward can make all the throws and has shown he is very good at moving around in the pocket to extend plays. He is patient and excels at throwing over the middle. If the Titans hang on to the top pick and select Cam Ward, the Browns will probably go with Abdul Carter to add an elite edge rusher to team up with Myles Garrett. While Cleveland needs a quarterback, they don’t seem to be sold on Shedeur Sanders and likely wouldn’t give up assets to move up to No.
1 to ensure it gets Ward. They settle for Carter, which is a huge win because he’s an outstanding pass rusher with elite initial quickness. The Giants added quarterbacks Russell Wilson (1-year deal) and Jameis Winston (2-year deal) in free agency and will be using Wilson primarily to help transition to the quarterback they take in the 2025 Draft. With Cam Ward going No. 1, the Giants select Shedeur Sanders from Colorado and allow Wilson to play while Sanders gets comfortable. It will take some of the pressure off of Sanders, who improved his touch and downfield accuracy last season.

Kiper predicted Miami quarterback Cam Ward to go No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans, followed by Colorado wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter to the Cleveland Browns at No. 2 and Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders to the New York Giants at No. 3.
The top 10 selections in Kiper's first mock are as follows: 1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami 2. Cleveland Browns: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado The NFL season has cruised past its midway point, but there's only a tiny fraction of clarity surrounding next year's draft.
The uncertainty starts with the quarterbacks, with only two passers – Colorado's Shedeur Sanders and Miami's Cam Ward – truly establishing themselves as worthy of first-round consideration, while several other previous candidates – including... A similar dynamic is in place for many other positions, with a shortage of surefire top-10 selections. And the top of the order still looks volatile, with 11 teams having either two or three wins. With all that in mind, here's our latest 2025 NFL mock draft projection, with the current first round order via Tankathon: Enjoy the incredible ironman performances while you can, as whichever team selects Hunter surely can't utilize him on 161 snaps in a single game the way Colorado did last week against Texas Tech. Even though he could be a shutdown corner for Jacksonville's league-worst defense, the smart money is on the Heisman Trophy front-runner going the receiver route given the way the market at the position has...
That shouldn't dissuade the Jaguars at all, as Hunter is still the kind of transcendent talent who can team with stellar 2024 first-rounder Brian Thomas Jr. to get Trevor Lawrence's development back on track after what's shaping up to be another lost season. Deion Sanders' claim regarding his son's draft outlook in March that "it's gonna be an Eli (Manning)" would take on new meaning in this scenario. Should Big Blue pursue another football blue blood, the pairing could be fruitful for each side. With coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen expected to return in 2025, the Giants would be able to turn the page on Daniel Jones' tenure by installing a poised passer who can... Sanders, meanwhile, would inherit a unit that looks to be on the upswing, with wide receiver Malik Nabers and running back Tyrone Tracy Jr.
exhibiting immense promise as rookies and the offensive line looking to be in a better spot upon left tackle Andrew Thomas' return from a season-ending Lisfranc injury. MIAMI, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Cam Ward, Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter lead my first mock draft ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. Mason Graham and Will Johnson are among my other Top 5 projected selections. The 2025 NFL Draft will be held from April 24 to 26 in Green Bay, Wis. The Tennessee Titans get the No.
1 overall pick. The Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars also have Top 5 selections. Free agency and trades will likely impact team needs and decisions for the 2025 NFL Draft. Additional mock drafts will be provided after the 2025 NFL scouting combine and major off-season moves. My first mock draft, which predicts the first round, includes two quarterbacks, a safety, running back, tight end, eight edge rushers, seven offensive linemen, three wide receivers, four defensive tackles, four cornerbacks, and Hunter,... Right around Thanksgiving every year 10 NFL fan bases (or so) turn their attention to the almighty draft order sweepstakes.
This one specifically could come right down to the wire, with the first five teams having two wins and the next nine having three or four wins. That lack of separation matters in a draft that lacks the quarterback depth we were spoiled with last year, and potentially less blue chip talent overall. With that being said, there is still star power and building blocks in this class. Let’s take an early dive into the order, team needs and an ideal prospect fit for each in my 2025 NFL Mock Draft 1.0. NOTE: Draft order per tankathon.com, which takes into account remaining strength of schedule and tiebreakers What we know: Hunter is a high-end talent on both sides of the ball.
What’s to be determined: if he’ll play more wide receiver or cornerback at the next level. Right, thanks for joining us tonight for the first round of the NFL Draft - read our report on an enthralling first day and stay tuned to the BBC Sport website and app for... And here's a reminder of the full first round of picks made on Thursday in Green Bay. Wow, we had some drama there, after starting the night with all 32 teams holding their own first round draft pick for the first time in history, we had a blockbuster move for Travis... Cam Ward went to the Titans with the first pick as expected, with the New York Giants picking up star edge rusher Abdul Carter then trading back into the first round for quarterback Jaxson... That meant a huge snub for Shedeur Sanders, who will now have to sit and wait for the second and third rounds on Saturday to see where his NFL home will be.

With updated team needs, the latest draft order and fresh insights into top prospects, we’re taking a deep dive into how teams might strategize if the 2025 NFL Draft took place this week. Here’s our projection for Round 1, based on what we know eight weeks into the season. The 2025 NFL scouting combine is officially in the rearview mirror. We spent the week in Indianapolis, learned a lot, and have taken all that new information and delivered a fresh big board. The start of free agency also has better informed team's draft needs after a flurry of signings. The full seven-round draft order is finally set after the NFL distributed 35 compensatory picks to teams — which means the draft itself isn't far off.
We've also updated our most recent mock draft with Cam Ward going No. 1. Here's Yahoo Sports NFL Draft expert Nate Tice's latest big board. As the most dynamic player in the country, Hunter was a game-changer at cornerback and wide receiver in college. Still, I think his best path as a professional is as a full-time defender with some spot duty on offense — a usage resembling his coach/mentor Deion Sanders when he played with the Dallas... Hunter can consistently stay sticky to his coverage assignment, showing off the quickness and body control to thrive in man-to-man situations, with the excellent burst to make plays on the football and nullify the...
He plays with a high level of intelligence for the position, and will take calculated gambles to fall off his coverage assignment and even bait quarterbacks into potential interception opportunities. Hunter’s ball skills and feel for the position are rare. His athleticism is unlocked by his innate ability to always find — and come down with — the football. Hunter just seems to make a big play in every quarter of the game.
