Josh Allen Continues To Solidify Hall Of Fame Resume With New Franchis
The Buffalo Bills entered Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season knowing that the Baltimore Ravens would be out for blood. After all, the Bills were the ones who knocked them out of the playoffs last season, in dramatic fashion to boot, so the Ravens were looking for revenge on Sunday Night Football. Unfortunately, the Ravens jumped out to a 20-13 lead at halftime and pushed the spread to 15, taking a 34-19 lead into the fourth quarter. If not for future Hall of Fame quarterback Josh Allen, the game would have gotten out of hand much quicker. Allen continued his heroics in the early part of the fourth quarter, running in a touchdown from the two-yard line to make it a nine-point game. This rushing touchdown actually eclipsed a bit of Bills history for him, further making his case for Canton one day.
On Sunday, Allen tallied his 66th career rushing touchdown in the NFL, which means that he is now Buffalo's all-time leader in rushing touchdowns. He surpassed the legendary Thurman Thomas, who previously held the record with 65 touchdowns. This record has stood since Thomas left the Bills in 1999, so Allen is once again in rarified air. It took Thomas 2,849 carries over 12 seasons with the franchise to earn this mark, while Allen did it in just over seven seasons and 766 carries. We all know Josh Allen's path to the Buffalo Bills made a stop through Laramie, Wyoming. But now, he'll be living there forever.
Allen is one of seven members in the Cowboys' 2025 sports Hall of Fame class. The induction will take place on September 5, just days before the Bills open the 2025 NFL season on Sunday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens. The 2024 NFL MVP was able to talk to the Buffalo media Tuesday about the selection. He said it was a "very cool" honor and reflected on being a part of the Wyoming athletics' lore for eternity. "To be remembered there, and coach [Craig] Bohl and the University of Wyoming, obviously, wouldn't be here without them," said Allen following Tuesday's practice, who surprised Allen amid the induction coming up. "It's very cool to be honored by something so close and near to my heart.

In February, the Buffalo Bills' superstar quarterback won his first NFL MVP award, for a spectacular 2024 season that came painfully short of a Super Bowl appearance with a conference championship loss to the...
A month later, he signed a six-year, $330 million contract extension with Buffalo, including an NFL-record $250 million guaranteed. At the end of May, Allen married his longtime girlfriend, actor/singer Hailee Steinfeld. And after Allen's long-term contract agreements, both on and off the field, the endorsement deals for the 29-year-old started pouring in. He joined SoFi as its newest ambassador, promoting the company's new SoFi Plus premium membership program. A new partnership with sleep supplement company Natrol saw him truly prioritize proper rest for the first time in his life. Other new deals with Therabody, Wonderful Pistachios, New Balance, and New Era proved that Allen is a bankable superstar pitchman poised to be a bankable sporting spokesman for many years to come.
Perhaps one of Allen's biggest highlights so far this year was a Boardroom Talks conversation he had with me in Buffalo in early August, where the 6-foot-5 signal-caller was more than appreciative of his... "I don't take my life for granted and how fortunate I am," Allen told me, "but I'm not too sentimental when it comes to things of that nature. I think it's the quarterback in me. We're always trained to focus on the next play. We throw a pick, we throw a touchdown, whatever we did the last play, it's behind us and it doesn't affect our next play. The best is yet to come.
Now I need to go out there and do everything I can to help this team win a Super Bowl." We are in late June in the NFL cycle, that means it’s time for arbitrary debates while we wait to watch our teams at training camp. Is Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen a gold jacket Hall of Famer if he never plays another snap of football? Rich Eisen asks the question on the latest episode of the Rich Eisen show. “I think one day, I am going to see him in the Hall of Fame. I think one day he will have a bust in the Hall of Fame,” Eisen begins.
“I just think he needs more days as an NFL player for that to happen… Just knowing how the voting process takes place.” Allen famously got over one of his career humps this February when he brought home is first NFL MVP trophy. Traditionally speaking, an MVP trophy usually stamps your ticket to Canton. Only 13 players in the history of the league have MVP hardware in their trophy case, but no golden jacket. “Winning the NFL MVP award is the league’s highest individual honor, and rack up at least one of these and you might find yourself on a fast track toward eventually making the Pro Football... “Of the 41 MVP winners that are currently retired, 28 are in the Hall of Fame and it will be 29 once Peyton Manning joins them in Canton next year (an astonishing 70.7%).”
At just 29-years-old, and after just seven NFL seasons, Allen is already the Buffalo Bills franchise leader in rushing touchdowns. He also holds franchise records in career rushing yards by a quarterback, and single season passing yards and touchdowns. Allen broke a record long held by former Bills QB Joe Ferguson Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen now has sole possession of the second-most regular-season passing touchdowns in franchise history, passing Joe Ferguson (181 passing TDs). In classic Allen fashion, his latest franchise-defining moment was a play for the ages, connecting with rookie running back Ray Davis for a 63-yard catch and run blitz-beater against the Miami Dolphins. Allen set the new franchise record of 182 regular-season passing touchdowns just halfway into his seventh season with the Bills.
Now, Allen can set his sights on Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly and his 237 career regular-season passing touchdowns. As of writing, Allen trails Kelly by 55 touchdowns. The question becomes when, not if, Josh Allen reaches those lofty heights set by Jim Kelly. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Skydance Sports announced an agreement Tuesday on a deal that will see the NFL’s reigning Most Valuable Player create scripted, unscripted, and branded content with the company. Jason Reed, who leads Skydance’s sports division, told Alex Weprin of The Hollywood Reporter the company is excited to work with one of the NFL’s biggest stars. “Josh has quickly made a name for himself as one of the most exciting and skilled players in the NFL,” Reed said.
“Not only is he a uniquely talented player, he is an amazing human being. His vision, determination, and creativity make him a force off the field as well as on, and we are thrilled to be partnering with him as be builds his business outside of the game.” It’s a path that feels similar to Omaha Productions. Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning founded that company to create content following his on-field retirement. Allen, who narrowly edged out Baltimore Ravens signal-caller Lamar Jackson to win the 2024 NFL MVP Award, is one of the most well-known athletes in American sports. His mainstream fame skyrocketed further when he started dating actress Hailee Steinfeld.
The pair got engaged in November. Bills QB Josh Allen and SoFi have “agreed to a multiyear partnership” that will “feature a campaign that will air across all major streaming platforms and national TV and cable networks at the start... Allen will “headline” SoFi’s national fall football campaign with “ads running on NBC, ESPN, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube.” He will “specifically be pitching SoFi Plus,” which helps members “bank, borrow, invest and earn... As part of the deal, the Boston-based brand will “help fund community sports programs” in Allen’s hometown of Firebaugh, Calif., which will “help in providing access to sports for all athletes in the area,... Allen also will be in “comedic commercials rolling out across TV, digital and social media platforms.” Pepsi’s 30-second commercial will “air nationally on broadcast stations,” with “activations throughout the football season.” Allen has partnerships...
