Provides high-quality, affordable, and accessible child care for Seattle families, preparing students for Kindergarten and beyond, with the goal of eliminating the racially disproportionate kindergarten readiness gap. In partnership with the City of Seattle’s Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL), SPP helps prepare 3 and 4-year-olds for kindergarten and beyond, while offering tuition assistance, family financial assistance, and health screenings. Early learning coaches help SPP teachers provide a culturally responsive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for all students, and some classrooms offer dual language instruction.

Provides early learning and child care information as well as child care subsidies for families across King County. Caregiver programs provide child care development and early learning information and support. Provides technical and educational assistance to licensed child care professionals in King and Pierce counties. Early Head Start program is a family-centered, comprehensive program for low income families, tailored to the unique needs of infants and toddlers. Our mission is to nurture and sustain child-centered, antiracist early learning communities. Founded in 1990, we are a nonprofit organization based in community that serves children, families, caregivers, and child care providers across King and Pierce Counties.

We are dedicated to improving families’ access to child care and elevating the quality of early learning. We Seek Continuous Learning and Improvement BrightSpark stands in solidarity with our community and partners as a proactive leader in the movement to dismantle systems and policies that actively harm Black and Brown children. We advocate for equitable and high quality childhood education that centers antiracist, pro-Black and Brown narratives making every child visible and valued. We are looking for board members who love working in an empathetic, diverse, and collaborative environment, and are passionate about creating antiracist early learning communities. Local non-profit focused on supporting early learning providers.We are predominantly managed by women and minorities.

We provide coaching, technical assistance and professional development for child care providers in King and Pierce Counties so they can develop and improve the quality of their care for all children. Children 0-12 in need of child care, licensed child care providers and Family, Friend and Neighbor care. Referrals to child care free to anyone seeking care in WA state. Subsidy eligibility varies, please speak to a Referral Specialist to see if you qualify for help in paying for child care. For child care: call 206-329-5544 or 1-800-446-1114, or email familycenter@childcare.org to initiate contact and one of our Referral Specialists will assist in a child care search.
