Join us to learn about Winter Workshops, and hear about our other upcoming Youth Programs! Winter Workshops: Grades 9-12 (On-Campus and Virtual available) These two day workshops in mid-January offer high school students a unique opportunity to dive deeply into their creative process with the MassArt community of makers. Students explore their artistic ideas in specialized modes of art-making that will expand upon their technical skills. Students attend both days of their chosen workshop. There are on-campus and virtual offerings.

Open to students in grades 3-12, Saturday Studios gives young creators the chance to make art every weekend. Our virtual and in-person Spring Break programs allow students to spend their week off learning and creating. A rewarding and enriching summer activity for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders who are ready to grow as visual artists.

These two-week programs immerse students in rigorous artmaking and are ideal for 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students interested in building their technical skills and portfolios. MassArt believes in the importance of a quality arts education beginning in elementary school. We offer affordable, diverse programs for students in grades 3-12 that give students the ability to access the power of the arts for their future success. Offering elementary through high school students an affordable opportunity to engage in the process of art making and supporting the development of MassArt students as art educators. Courses in a variety of disciplines and media are available. For students in grades 3-12.

An intensive vacation week program for students Grades 7-12, offered during April school vacation. April 15-19, 2019. A fun and rigorous program for young artists to develop their creative voice and skills in disciplines they love, including painting, sculpture, fashion, architecture, computer animation, and more. For students entering Grades 7-9. Offering high school students serious about fine art and design a choice of focused studios to help develop technical skills and build studio practice. Students have an opportunity to develop work for their portfolio.

For students entering Grades 10-12. Join the MassArt Youth Programs team to learn about our Summer programming for high school students! MassArt believes in the importance of a quality arts education beginning in elementary school. We offer diverse programs for students in grades 3-12 that give students the ability to access the power of the arts for their future success. Paraprofessionals play a vital and often under-recognized role in schools, providing essential support to students and teachers alike. Their work is dynamic—shaped by the unique needs of each classroom and the individual students they serve. Because no two situations are exactly the same, having a flexible set of strategies is key to effectively supporting students academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.

This series is designed to equip paraprofessionals with a range of practical tools, while also addressing common questions and challenges specific to the needs you encounter in your role. This session focuses on what a growth mindset is and how to promote one in your students. We want students to be motivated to learn, have ambitious goals, be less afraid of failure, be more resilient and persevere through challenges, be open to trying new things and seek out feedback. Knowing your students’ different types of learning styles can improve student experiences and outcomes. This workshop will go over each learning style, how to identify them and provide examples and tips on how to coach and teach your students based on the ways they learn best. In this session, we will talk about equipping students with tools to navigate their emotions, social interactions.

We will go over how to build self awareness, social awareness, relationship skills, self management, and making responsible choices.
