They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies." In Seattle, two separate protests are planned for 12:00–3:00 p.m. One will be at University of Washington's Red Square, the other at Cal Anderson Park in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. SEATTLE — Another round of "No Kings" protests took place Saturday with gatherings across Washington and nationwide. The coalition that organized the Seattle Hands Off and Seattle No Kings march back in June organized a rally and march on Saturday at Seattle Center.

The group marched peacefully through downtown Seattle from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. just as organizers planned. 2:50 p.m. Seattle police report the protest is a mile long. 11 a.m.

People begin to arrive at Seattle Center to gather for the rally. Seattle police advise that there will be traffic throughout the city. The "No Kings Nationwide Day of Defiance" is a collection of marches, protests, and demonstrations scheduled for June 14. It is promoted by the Indivisible Project and other groups to "reject corrupt, authoritarian politics in the United States," according to an Indivisible news release. The demonstrations are scheduled the same day as a military parade celebrating the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary in Washington, D.C.

They are also happening on President Donald Trump's 79th birthday, which is June 14. Like the June 14 protests, these new rallies on Saturday, Oct. 18, in Tacoma, Olympia, Bellingham, Tri-Cities and other communities statewide are in coordination with similar No Kings protests scheduled nationwide. Over 2,500 rallies and protests are planned in the U.S., The Fresno Bee reported. “In June, we did what many claimed was impossible: peacefully mobilized millions of people to take to the streets and declare with one voice: America has No Kings,” according to the national No Kings... The new events are “in response to the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration, which they have doubled down on since June,” the website said.
