University of Washington's Youth & Teen Programs are for students in grades 4-12 who love to learn year-round and want to get a taste of a topic they may want to learn more about... In their own classroom with their own teachers that are trained and mentored by UW faculty, high school students can take University of Washington courses and earn UW credit. International learners can choose from a wide variety of online and in-person programs designed to improve communication skills, prepare for further study in the United States, and explore American culture, business and other subjects. Summer Sessions at the University of Washington has something for everyone.

Current and incoming UW students, those visiting from other U.S. colleges, high school students, international students, working professionals and other learners are all invited to join us, get the education you need and make the most of your summer. The University offers both state-supported and fee-based degree programs. Students who are enrolled in most fee-based programs will use a different process to register for classes and pay for their courses than students in state-supported programs. Most fee-based programs are offered through the UW’s Continuum College. Some units administer their own fee-based programs and rates are maintained on program websites.

Information regarding fee-based programs, including available financial aid, can be found on the Office of Student Financial Aid website. The Office of the University Registrar maintains a Fee-based programs FAQ. Fee-based program rates are established and changed through an annual process. In accordance with E.O. 44, the Provost approves fee-based program rates. Beginning in FY25, fee-based tuition programs administered by the UW Continuum College and independent units are reviewed and developed during the University’s Annual Review process.

All program rates are displayed in one document and are organized by unit. Previous fee-based rates prior to FY25 are available below. The University of Washington Continuum College, formerly the University of Washington Educational Outreach, is the continuing education and professional development unit of the University of Washington in Seattle. The UW Continuum College offices are located in the University District, Seattle in the UW Tower (which was purchased from Safeco in 2006). Programs are run at the main UW campus and at various locations through UW Professional & Continuing Education. The UW Continuum College is directed by Vice Provost Rovy Branon.[1] Branon oversees a staff of approximately 250 people engaged in the development and administration of the UW's various programs.

The UW Continuum College provides wide-ranging programs for non-traditional and lifelong learning students such as degree programs, certificate programs, and non-degree enrollment.[2] The programs are fee-based and do not receive any state funds for support. At UW Continuum College, we believe that education should be accessible to everyone, no matter where they are in life. We go beyond traditional higher education, offering innovative learning opportunities tailored to fit learners’ needs at the right time. Undergraduate and graduate programs can open up new doors and boundless possibilities for students by offering them access to your expert faculty and leading-edge curriculum. Whether you want to expand the number of degrees you offer or ensure your existing offerings continue to run smoothly, we have the skills and expertise to take your program to the next level. We structure our service levels into two tiers for fee-based degree programs: Core and Complement. Both levels of service provide you with a Partner Success Lead (PSL) as your primary liaison to Continuum College, who can answer all service-related questions as well as support and troubleshoot issues. On the UW Professional & Continuing Education website, go to the page for the program you're interested in.

Click on the Apply button in the Program Sessions section near the bottom of the page. Once you click the Apply button, you'll see a screen that has two tabs: How to Apply and Requirements. On the Requirements tab, read over the program requirements to make sure you meet them. On the How to Apply tab, read through the application steps, then click Apply Online to launch the MyContinuum app. Choose your sign-in method. If you’re a former UW or UWPCE student, choose the UW NetID option.

Otherwise, select the Google or Apple option.
