Thousands of people rallied in New Orleans on Saturday morning for the nationwide “No Kings” demonstrations against President Donald Trump’s authoritarian regime. Scores of demonstrators, many in costume, gathered near Mandeville and Decatur streets at 10 a.m., waving handmade signs and chanting various slogans. Among their top concerns are Trump’s anti-immigrant policies, restrictions on reproductive and LGBTQ rights and his administration’s suppression of scientific and medical research.
