Nfl Draft 2025 Big Board Rankings Travis Hunter At No 2 Spot Loaded
Without a plethora of clear-cut superstar prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft, you are in for a treat this draft season. Why's that? Because there's bound to be drastically differing opinions of most of the early-round talents, and that diversity always makes this process more fun than if everyone agrees on, say, the Top 20 prospects. I cannot say I've watched every draft-eligible prospect. Far from. But at this reasonably early stage of the 2025 pre-draft process, here's my Top 50 prospects after the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
Pearce could add some weight to his lanky-ish frame. But even despite being somewhat tall and skinny in the SEC, he pieced together back-to-back seasons with elite-level productivity that came from supreme burst, bend, and speed-to-power conversion. He has an ascending collection of pass-rush moves too. Pearce can win in a hurry and in a variety of ways ... and I think his best football is in front of him. Hunter combines magnificent physical traits with the polish needed to be the second-highest-graded player on my board at cornerback and receiver.
I graded him individually at both positions, and that's where he landed. He can be silky smooth, ultra-explosive, and his ridiculously ball-tracking talent is an asset on offense and defense. Graham is a ready-to-go interior rusher with tenacity, athleticism, powerful hands, and a nonstop motor that revs against the run too. High floor, high ceiling. This coming weekend, 257 players will be selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. Which ones are the best of the best?
This year's draft class is something of a mystery, which makes the rankings especially important. Miami quarterback Cam Ward, Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter and Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter are expected to hear their names called very early on Tuesday night. As for the other 254 players selected, it's anyone's guess. There are a number of of meat-and-potato prospects expected to become quality NFL starters on Day 2, and some very athletically intriguing but raw talents to round out the draft on Saturday. For teams looking to beef up the trenches, this may be the draft for you. Defensive linemen are going to be en vogue in this draft, with interior players and edge rushers set to dominate the top 100 selections in the draft.
If you're looking for a quarterback, the lack of top-end talent makes way for some intriguing Day 2 and 3 prospects, including Louisville's Tyler Shough, Syracuse's Kyle McCord and Ohio State's Will Howard. The Super Bowl is behind us and with it the end of the 2024 NFL season. Now, it's time for the offseason. We're just over two months away from the 2025 NFL draft, one of the biggest events of the offseason. Rookies were critical to both teams in the Super Bowl and the other 30 franchises across the league will be looking for young, new talent to add to their rosters for the 2025 season. This year's class lacks the star power of the 2024 NFL draft and that leaves room for debate on which players are worthy of a first-round pick.
We've compiled big boards from ESPN, Bleacher Report, The Athletic and The 33rd Team to try to paint a clear picture of the top 50 players in the 2025 NFL draft. There's lots of talent at multiple positions in the class, primarily on the defensive line. Fifteen of the top 50 players on this consensus big board are either classified as a defensive tackle or edge rusher. Defense as a whole has a slight edge with 28 of the top 50 players per these combined big boards. Here are the top 50 players by average ranking across those four big boards. The NFL Draft is just days away and final grades are in for the Class of 2025 prospects.
With no team needs to satisfy and data from the Combine and pro days factored in, the following is a list and rationale of my highest-ranked 150 prospects available in this year's draft. Why the top 150, you might be wondering? Because that extends into the fifth round, covering the range where the vast majority of NFL starters, not to mention All-Pro selections, were drafted over the past decade. Athletes are listed according to their official measurements taken at the Combine, with heights rounded up to the nearest full inch, if necessary. 50. TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State (5-11, 202): One of my favorite players in this class, Henderson plays bigger, faster and tougher than his frame suggests, showing the vision, contact balance, ball security and grit...
The 2025 NFL Draft class is rounding into shape, and we’re getting a clearer picture of some of the top prospects and the position groups with the most depth. The top prospect on the board is Colorado’s Travis Hunter, a rare talent with the potential to start at the NFL level as either a wide receiver or cornerback. After Hunter, Penn State stud Abdul Carter, Michigan standout Mason Graham, Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan and Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty are some of the premier players in this draft class. The running back, tight end and offensive tackle positions seem to be the deepest and strongest on the offensive side of the ball. On defense, the edge defender group is as deep as we’ve seen in several years, dominating the projected top 50. There are also more impact defensive backs this year than a year ago, with plenty of options on all three days of the draft, specifically on Days 2 and 3.
Here are PFF's top 350 draft prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft, along with some scouting notes courtesy of lead draft analyst Trevor Sikkema. For the full ranking of draft prospects, along with their three-year player grades and position rankings, click here. Hunter is one of the most talented players I have ever scouted. As a cornerback, he brings good mirror-matching movements and truly elite ball skills. He can be a bit out of control and lacks some density, which gets exposed the most in press-man coverage. As a primary zone defender with press-man flexibility, he can be an immediate starting cornerback with an All-Pro ceiling.

As the 2025 NFL Draft class continues to take shape, it’s time to take stock of which prospects are going to dominate the conversation between now and April. Our consensus Big Board combines rankings from a wide range of NFL Draft experts to identify how the top prospects are viewed relative to the rest of their class. In theory, by the time we reach draft weekend, these rankings should help give us a handle on how the picks could (or, at least, should) play out. How does the consensus board compare? ESPN's Field Yates has not moved off his position that Travis Hunter is the top prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. The 2024 Heisman winner is followed by Abdul Carter at No. 2.
Here are the top 10 prospects on Yates' board: Yates did note he believes Hunter can maximize his ceiling in the NFL as a wide receiver, but he "will be great on either side of the ball" if he primarily plays at cornerback. No one seems to have any concern that Carter's injuries are going to be a problem in the NFL. He missed the scouting combine due to a stress reaction in his foot that didn't require surgery, then didn't work out at Penn State's pro day on Friday while rehabbing a shoulder injury.
