The NFL announced the players who will attend the first round next Thursday night in Green Bay: When players commit to attending the first round of the draft, their respective camps have often been given some kind of assurance that they’ll be selected within the top-32 picks. Of course, that’s not a prerequisite, and as we’ve seen many times, there are some overly-confident prospects who subsequently endure the very-public waiting game.

Per usual, the most notable inclusions surround the QB position. Cam Ward is the favorite to go first-overall, and Shedeur Sanders (who is absent from this list) is also expected to be selected at some point in the first round. After that, the position is pretty uncertain, and that could lead to some awkward moments for the other QBs who decided to attend. Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe have firmly established themselves in that next tier of QB prospects, and recent reports have indicated that they should be at least Day 2 picks. There haven’t been any definitive reports about their Day 1 candidacy, and while we shouldn’t read too much into the list of attendees, it is notable that both prospects believe they have a shot... I believe 2023 had three or four attendees who weren’t drafted on day one.

I would be stunned if Milroe went on day one, as I think most people would be. The NFL announced Monday that 17 prospects will be in attendance for the 2025 NFL Draft later this month in Green Bay. The 2025 NFL Draft starts at 7 p.m. CT (8 p.m. ET) on Thursday, April 24, which will consist of round one. After that, the draft continues Friday, April 25 at 7:00 PM EST for Rounds 2-3.

Three colleges – Alabama (three players), Georgia (two) and Michigan (two) – will have multiple players on-site. The Southeastern Conference leads all conferences with nine prospects confirmed to attend, followed by the Big Ten (four), Big 12 (two), Atlantic Coast Conference (one) and Mountain West Conference (one). The Draft begins with the first round on Thursday night, April 24, and continues Friday, April 25, with Rounds 2-3. The Draft will conclude on Saturday, April 26, with Rounds 4-7. Seventeen prospects have accepted invitations to attend the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin, which begins at 8 p.m. ET on April 24.

The group includes three of the top quarterbacks in this year’s class and one of the most fascinating draft prospects in recent memory. QB Cam Ward is expected to hear his name called #1 overall by the Tennessee Titans and will be at the event in Green Bay. He heads a trio of QBs in attendance, including talented SEC passers, Jaxson Dart (Mississippi) and Jalen Milroe (Alabama). Among the 17 attendees are nine offensive players, seven defensive prospects and one unique two-way blue chip prospect, Travis Hunter of Colorado. Hunter won the Heisman Trophy playing both sides of the ball — excelling at wide receiver and cornerback and probably lines up at both positions in the NFL. The Heisman runner-up, Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty, will also be in attendance.

Jeanty, who ran for 2,601 yards last season, is seeking to join Saquon Barkley and Bijan Robinson as the only running backs drafted in the top 10 since 2018. Three of the highly touted talents at wide receiver — Hunter, Texas’ Matthew Golden and Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan — will be in Titletown for this year’s draft. They head a deep group of receivers which probably will provide the most draft selections over the seven rounds. The offensive line will be represented by Alabama’s Tyler Booker, LSU’s Will Campbell and Ohio State’s Josh Simmons. Most of the 17 prospects will be selected on the first round, though a couple may have to wait until day two to hear their name called. It always create drama as the 32 selections are made to see if all know their pro destination.

Regardless, any remaining player will probably go very early in the 2nd round and still a core member of their new club.
