To promote learning and student success, the UW Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) supports the advancement of a teaching community that is collegial and committed to reflective, inclusive, equitable, and learner-centered teaching. The Center’s workshops and programs support instructors on all three UW campuses and it provides consultation services for instructors on the Seattle campus. CTL’s services are grounded in research, draw on established pedagogical approaches, promote innovation, and are deeply collaborative in nature. The Center for Teaching and Learning supports Seattle campus instructors at all levels, from graduate teaching assistants to full professors. Through active listening and dialogue, CTL consultants will help you build on your personal expertise and on teaching- and learning-related research to identify teaching strategies that work for you and your students. Our goal is to support you in the development of a reflective teaching practice that results in learning environments that are inclusive, active, and learner-centered.

UW Tacoma instructors can contact the UWT Office of Teaching Excellence and UW Bothell instructors can contact the UWB Learning & Teaching Collaborative.
So that we are able to adequately respond to your needs, we recommend submitting requests for individual consultations a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. Those requesting departmental/program sessions should submit their requests at least 4 weeks in advance of the desired session date. Find out more about these services. The Library provides photocopying and printing facilities operate on a quota-based system (uPrint) in all floors, and scanning facilities without charges.
The Enquiries Counter is located on the 2/F of the Main Library, which provides services related to registration for various library memberships, reader's cards that allows entry to other non-UGC libraries, etc. Please refer to its service hours here. Located on the 2/F of the Main Library, the Self-Service Collection houses course reserve materials and HKU requested books. You can simply tap your staff/student/facilities access card to access course reserve materials or pick up the requested books. Located on the 2/F New Wing of the Main Library (next to the Atrium), the battery charging stations includes Type-C, lightning, and Micro-B cables and can charge up to 7 devices.
