Over the last few weeks, I’ve been releasing my final position rankings for the 2025 draft. Now it’s time to unveil my top 150 big board. If you’ve been following along with my position rankings, most of these names will be familiar to you. A few will be new, however, as they didn’t make the top 20 at their position but are still in the top 150 overall. For more in-depth scouting reports on these players and others, check out my full position rankings series below. We’ll have you covered here at NFLTR in the lead-up to the draft with mock drafts, bold predictions, and more, so check back for more draft content!

The reigning Heisman winner and the most unique player to come through the draft in a long time, Hunter is a future All-Pro at cornerback or wide receiver. Which he ends up primarily playing may depend on where he lands. Jeanty is in the conversation with Saquon Barkley and Bijan Robinson for the best running back prospect in the last decade. Everything from his contact balance, vision, burst, and more is elite. A dynamic pass rusher with superstar potential, Carter is a raw but enticing prospect. It would be shocking to see him fall out of the top four.

We’re one week out from the first round and I have one last position to cover. Today we’re taking a look at cornerbacks, and it’s an interesting group. Unlike many of the other positions this year, I love the talent at the top — there are a handful of fantastic options in Round 1 and some great fallback options on Day 2. But the depth on Day 3 is lackluster, especially compared to previous years. This list includes my top 15 cornerbacks for the 2025 draft. The top 10 have full scouting reports, while the rest have shorter write-ups that still explain their strengths, weaknesses, and why I have them ranked where I do.

Check out the rest of the final position rankings series below now that it’s complete, and stay tuned for more draft coverage! My top 150 Big Board will be releasing on Sunday, and we’ll have plenty of coverage next week leading up to and during the draft itself. The reigning Heisman winner and the most electric player in college football, Hunter was the top overall recruit in the 2022 class and shocked the football world when he committed to Deion Sanders and... When Sanders took the job at Colorado, Hunter followed him there, playing both cornerback and wide receiver for the Buffaloes the last two seasons. Though he missed a few games in 2023 due to injury, he put together a quality season and elevated his game even further in 2024. As a junior, Hunter had 35 tackles, 11 passes defensed and four interceptions, all while winning the Biletnikoff Award as the top receiver in college football.

When discussing Hunter, it’s always important to remember some context: he played a jaw-dropping 1,529 snaps in 2024 alone, by far the most for any one player in a season since at least 2014... Playing full-time on offense and defense takes a greater physical toll on the body, though to Hunter’s credit, he held up quite well, even down the stretch. What Hunter’s done on defense while playing a full workload on offense is nothing short of incredible. His movement skills are off-the-charts good — silky-smooth transition ability when changing from his backpedal to break on a route or run with a receiver downfield. He practically runs routes for the receivers at times, beating them to their breaks and making plays on the ball. Short-area quickness, long speed and hip flexibility are all major pluses in Hunter’s game.

The way he stays connected on routes, even against NFL-caliber competition, is impressive. This is our third and final “final” mock draft this week, with the 2025 NFL Draft set to start on Thursday night. Both of our other primary draft writers, Ethan Woodie and Nate Bouda, have taken their cracks at predicting how the first round will shake out, and now it’s my turn. We agree on a fair amount, as it seems a broad consensus has developed over the beginning of the draft among most folks who cover the event. Every year brings twists and turns, though, and it’s going to be fascinating to see how it all plays out. Hopefully we’ll nail down a couple of those twists here.

This has been written in Sharpie for about a month. Browns GM Andrew Berry compared Hunter to Shohei Ohtani at his pre-draft presser last week. Unless he’s ready to explain on Thursday night why he passed on the NFL’s version of Ohtani, this pick is a lock too. Unlike the first two picks, there’s not the same buzz about the third selection being locked in. New York needs a long-term solution at quarterback and they have exhaustively researched Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders for two years now. Passing on him would mean chucking two years of work into the bin, more or less.

Yet it seems more likely that the Giants don’t see Sanders as worth passing on Carter — a far cleaner projection at a premium position. Even if this pick isn’t a lock, I’d say the odds are 90-95 percent that Carter is the pick. With the Combine coming up, it’s time to unveil an updated top 100 big board for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. There have been a few changes since I released my position ranking updates, as the Senior Bowl has passed and I’ve had more time to continue to evaluate these prospects. For in-depth scouting reports on these players, check out the individual position ranking articles. For each player in my top 10 at a position, I did an extensive write-up, discussing their history and analyzing their film.

As always, stay tuned for more draft coverage, as the Combine is just around the corner. You can see my summer top 50 big board below, as well as my updated position top-10s. Legitimate two-way prospect and generational talent. The best running back prospect since at least Bijan Robinson and maybe even Saquon Barkley. Our final big board for the 2025 NFL Draft consists of 300 prospects, including complete scouting reports for the top 100 players in the class. As always, our board doesn’t really look close to other industry rankings because we completely avoid groupthink—but that is why the evaluations (especially at quarterback) have been so consistently accurate.
