It’s here! NFLTR’s first official big board for the 2025 draft cycle is ready for all the draftniks, college football fans and interested viewers alike. With college football’s Week 0 kicking off this weekend, now is the perfect time to take a holistic look at how each position group stacks up against the others and which players stand out... These are the names to watch this fall, and we’ll be tracking them to see how their stock changes between now and April. I’ve ranked my top 50 players for next year’s draft below. This big board does account for positional value — it isn’t simply a ranking of the best players, but the positions are weighted to account for their value on an NFL football field.

I ranked the top 10 (eight in a few cases) at each position and gave a detailed breakdown for the top five, highlighting their backgrounds, strengths, weaknesses, play styles, scheme fits and more. Johnson is one of the best prospects I’ve ever scouted. He’s an elite athlete with rare fluidity and savvy beyond his years. He’s as good a cornerback prospect as we’ve had in recent memory. Walker is a massive presence at 6-6 and 348 pounds, and he plays with the movement skills of a much smaller man.

He’s still a raw prospect in many ways, but he can rush the passer, plug multiple gaps in the run game, and even drop into coverage. I’ve been an NFL Draft junkie for about 25 or 26 years now. I do remember snippets from times before that, but I would say the 1999 NFL Draft is the first one I truly remember. So many great players and so many not-so-great players. Here is my 2025 NFL Draft Big Board, including rookie rankings for my top 50 prospects. There’s the debate on whether Tim Couch would be the quarterback of the future for the Browns.

We had the Ricky Williams trade from the Saints with Washington. That deal included the Saints giving up eight draft picks, including two picks in the first round. I remember thinking the Bears drafting quarterback Cade McNown could terrorize the Lions for the next decade. Fortunately, I was wrong on that last part. The second round featured the Patriots selecting running back Kevin Faulk from LSU. I had an unbelievable amount of Kevin Faulk football cards as a kid.

The Bills selected wide receiver Peerless Price, and he became one of my favorite players in the league. I played far too much PlayStation 2 with the Bills on Madden 2002 and countless other players from the 1999 NFL Draft. The list of great moments is a long one since that draft. Adding to that, this year will be the 2025 NFL Draft. This is one draft that is giving us a generational prospect in Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter. We’ve got a lackluster but yet a pretty good wide receiver class at the top of the draft — this could also include Hunter.

For my liking, he’s a defensive player. The 2025 NFL Draft class might not have a grouping of elite quarterbacks clustered at the top like last year did. However, there are plenty of exciting prospects to get excited about on the first two nights of the draft, particularly at the skill positions. It’s a good offseason for a team to need some playmaking talent. The prospects ranked No. 30 through No.

21 on my Big Board contain elite skills, but a lot of them aren’t the complete package to get them into a higher ranking. Here, you’ll see plenty of skillful players NFL teams are looking to select with their first pick. Shavon Revel is a tall, lengthy coverage cornerback who will be very good in the NFL. He can cover receivers with speed, and has long arms to break up shorter-intermediate passes. Revel needs to improve upon his tackling, but his coverage skills are great. Derrick Harmon is a bit of an underrated prospect, and if he had sured up his tackling he would have been a decent bit higher on this list.

He brings an incredible force to a defensive front, in both the run and pass game. He will be an impactful player in the NFL. Jack Sawyer had a massive impact this season on Ohio State, especially in their National Championship run. In the playoffs, Sawyer had 4.5 sacks, leading the way for the Buckeyes. He has a very good frame, and is quick for his size. Any team, which may be all, who needs an edge is definitely looking at Sawyer.

With less than a month to go before the 2025 NFL Draft, the all-star circuit and NFL Combine are officially behind us, and Pro Days are nearly complete. In my opinion, he’s the best cornerback and second-best receiver wrapped up in one.

Obviously, quarterbacks get pushed up in the draft, but Travis Hunter has a serious chance at being the first overall pick come April. As a recruit, Hunter was a five-star ATH, and the number 1 player in the country. Three years have passed, and nothing has changed. In 2024, Hunter has developed from primarily a slot receiver (64.3% of snaps in the slot) to an outside receiver (5.7% of snaps in the slot). His effortless acceleration has helped him rack up 396 yards after the catch. His insane vertical allows him to win 50/50 balls with ease.

As a cornerback, Travis Hunter has the best skills I’ve ever seen from a corner. Quarterbacks have a 42.0 NFL Passer Rating against Hunter. As elite as Hunter is on both sides, I can’t bet against him playing both in the NFL if he wants. Overall, Travis Hunter is the best player in the 2025 NFL Draft and should be a top-3 pick in any scenario. This spot is not an indication of where I think Jeanty will get drafted. Instead, this ranking showcases his blue-chip status as a running back prospect.

The perceived lack of value of the position and the running back depth and talent in the 2025 RB class may push Ashton Jeanty down in the 2025 NFL Draft, as teams look to... In my NFL Mock Draft 2.0, I sent Ashton Jeanty to the Washington Commanders with the 21st overall selection. I believe the early twenties is his floor, but based on talent, he deserves to get drafted much earlier. Ashton Jeanty does everything. He runs up the middle, breaking and dodging tackles. He has the athleticism to hurdle tacklers at the second level.

Boise State hasn’t utilized Jeanty as much in the passing game in 2024, but he has put that on tape as well, going for over 500 yards receiving in 2023. His ability to make players miss in open space is extraordinary. Ashton Jeanty will be a game-changing weapon for whichever offense adds him. The 2025 NFL Draft class is rounding into shape, and we’re getting a clearer picture of some of the top prospects and the position groups with the most depth. The top prospect on the board is Colorado’s Travis Hunter, a rare talent with the potential to start at the NFL level as either a wide receiver or cornerback. After Hunter, Penn State stud Abdul Carter, Michigan standout Mason Graham, Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan and Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty are some of the premier players in this draft class.

The running back, tight end and offensive tackle positions seem to be the deepest and strongest on the offensive side of the ball. On defense, the edge defender group is as deep as we’ve seen in several years, dominating the projected top 50. There are also more impact defensive backs this year than a year ago, with plenty of options on all three days of the draft, specifically on Days 2 and 3.
