Commanders Qb Jayden Daniels Suffers Devasting Injury In Youtube
Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a brutal arm injury during the fourth quarter of the team’s game against the Seahawks on Sunday night. Daniels, with the game already well out of hand, scrabbled to his right and was sacked at the Seahawks’ 4-yard line on the play by Seattle linebacker Drake Thomas. As Daniels tried to brace himself with his left – and non-throwing – arm, his elbow snapped in the wrong direction and was potentially dislocated. Commanders coach Dan Quinn called it a “left elbow injury” and did not have more details at the time. Daniels’ teammates immediately kneeled down around him in a somber scene at Northwest Stadium. “It’s really tough to see him go down.
You just want him to stay positive,” Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner said. “You don’t know what the result is. You just speak a lot of positivity into existence. He’s a very positive person so we’re just praying for the best.” Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow in the fourth quarter of Sunday night's 38-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Daniels will have an MRI on Monday to determine how long he's out, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per sources informed of the plan.
The belief, per Rapoport, is that the injury (to his non-throwing arm) might not be as bad as it could have been, but the signal-caller is expected to miss several games. Commanders coach Dan Quinn confirmed on Monday that Daniels dislocated his elbow but did not provide a timetable for the QB's return. The second-year quarterback suffered the injury when he was sacked by Seahawks defender Drake Thomas and was awkwardly slung to the ground. The serious nature of the injury was immediately evident, and Daniels' arm was quickly put into an air cast. The Commanders (3-6) trailed the Seahawks, 38-7, with less than 8 minutes remaining when Daniels exited. Quinn said after the game there wasn't a conversation about pulling Daniels from the blowout loss, but he understands that it would have made sense in "hindsight."
What was meant to be a night of nostalgia and renewed hope for the Washington Commanders turned into heartbreak. The team’s return to Northwest Stadium, donning their iconic Super Bowl-era uniforms, was supposed to serve as motivation to turn their 3-5 season around. But instead, the evening ended in despair as quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a gruesome left arm injury in the fourth quarter of a 38-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. After missing the previous week’s 28-7 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, Daniels returned to the starting lineup for this primetime clash, seen as a much-needed boost for a team desperate to stay in... However, his comeback was overshadowed by tragedy late in the game. Daniels was scrambling toward the end zone on second-and-goal with the Commanders trailing by 31 points when he was tackled awkwardly.
