All Early Intervention training opportunities include continuing education units (CEUs). As of July 28, 2020, the New York City Early Intervention Program became a sponsor-approved provider of continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) units. Early Intervention providers can also use the professional development training hours to fulfill annual training requirements, as specified by the NYS Department of Health Bureau of Early Intervention Provider Agreement. Acentra Health, formerly Kepro has been selected by the Department as the contractor for New York’s Early Intervention Program Monitoring and Quality Improvement Services. Measurement Incorporated is accredited as an Authorized Provider of Continuing Education and Training by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). In obtaining this accreditation, Measurement Inc. has demonstrated compliance with the IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices.​

​The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) was created by IACET as a measurement of continuing education. One (1) IACET CEU is equal to ten (10) contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience. IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are recognized by a wide range of organizations, including professional associations, regulatory boards, and universities. Although IACET CEUs are widely accepted, it is up to each organization to determine whether or not it will accept them.
