2025 nfl mock draft top 10 surprises in final first round projections

The 2025 NFL draft is finally here! The Tennessee Titans will kick things off on Thursday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin, before the rest of the league locks in on improving their rosters. This draft is loaded with talent, but most of it may require some development once they turn pro. Each scouting department will determine which players are worth taking the risk on. Will teams prioritize the trenches? Are skilled positions on offense going to dominate the headlines?

Will any big trades take place? With the draft just hours away, here’s our final 2025 NFL mock draft before the Titans are officially on the clock. There’s no surprise with this one. The Titans select the man they hope is their future franchise quarterback in Cam Ward at first overall. The 2025 NFL Draft is so close, so let's finish off the draft cycle with one final mock draft for the top 10 selections. You might be tired of all the mock drafts, but I promise we are almost done.

The 2025 NFL Draft begins soon, and we'll finally have the answers we have been waiting on for months now. There are some quirks with this draft class that make it one of the more interesting classes in recent memory. The lack of blue-chip talent but overall depth of the class puts a huge emphasis on the second and third rounds as being the best for value. But there could be teams who want to trade up to capitalize on the limited blue-chip talent. Let's get into our final NFL mock draft. No surprises here, as the Tennessee Titans do what most have been expecting for a while now and grab Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Another pick we have seen coming for a little while now, as the Cleveland Browns take the dual-threat wide receiver/cornerback unicorn of a player in Travis Hunter, who is likely beginning as a WR... The NFL draft is full of surprises, and every year, one or two picks leave fans and analysts scratching their heads. This mock draft embraces that chaos by assigning one out-of-left-field first-round pick to each team — selections that might not match the consensus but aren’t completely off the board. From Jaxson Dart landing in Cleveland to Shedeur Sanders headed to Tennessee, here’s a look at how Round 1 could unfold if NFL teams throw a curveball. ARZ | ATL | BLT | BUF | CAR | CHI | CIN | CLE | DAL | DEN | DET | GB | HOU | IND | JAX | KC | LVR |... The Titans are overwhelming favorites to select Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

But if there’s even a slim chance they go in a different direction, Shedeur Sanders could be the surprise. He checks the three boxes head coach Brian Callahan has emphasized as priorities at quarterback: decision-making, timing and accuracy. Jaxson Dart’s draft stock might be the toughest to pin down in this class. If the Browns view him as their guy, they could opt to wait until the top of the second round to make their move. But if they’re truly sold — especially on the back of his FBS-best 91.9 passing grade in 2024 — they might not be able to resist pulling the trigger at No. 2 overall.

The NFL season is now seven weeks old, and some teams are already looking ahead to next season. But regardless of whether a team thinks they’re in the playoff race or trending toward a top-10 pick, NFL scouts have been on the road for three months. College football enters Week 9, and several teams have already secured bowl eligibility. With that, the 2025 NFL draft class has some clarity, from risers to fallers and more defined position groups. And while the draft, which takes place April 24–26 in Green Bay, Wis., is still six months away, here’s an updated look at the opening round from our initial mock on Sept. 25.

Note: The draft order is based on current records. The pick: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado Andrew Lalama provides his final 2025 NFL mock draft with trades before the NFL Draft begins on April 24. Full one-round predictions for the top NFL rookie prospects The NFL Draft is my favorite day of the year, and the picks made tomorrow night will have an enormous impact on the future of the NFL. The top three picks appear to be locked in, but the rest of the top ten is up in the air.

This mock draft aims to predict each pick in an attempt to be as accurate as possible. Last year, my final mock draft was the 6th-most accurate in TheHuddleReport's annual contest. Hopefully, we can finish in the top five in 2025. 1) Tennessee Titans – Cam Ward, QB, Miami The Titans appear locked in on Cam Ward to be their next franchise quarterback. After a deep dive into his film, Ward has all the traits you want in a modern pro QB.

The Titans need to get him more weapons on day two. Alright. We’re finally here. The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET from Green Bay, Wisconsin. This is my final mock draft of the 2025 cycle.

In this one, I’ll attempt to be as predictive as possible, given the latest reports, and trying to sort through the noise. Lock it in. The Titans get their (hopeful) quarterback of the future. Despite getting calls to trade out of this pick, the Browns stand pat and take arguably the best player in the draft. While Abdul Carter isn’t necessarily a “need,” he’s too good to pass on. Kayvon Thibodeaux could be upset about this, but that’s something worth dealing with.

This would give the Giants a ferocious pass rush.
