2025 Nfl Draft Travis Hunter Falls Updated Predictions For All 32
With the masses about to descend on Indianapolis for the annual NFL Combine, opinions about the 2025 NFL Draft are about to shift dramatically. Bucky Brooks breaks down the first round of the draft prior to the madness starting for NFL.com. Brooks posted a complete mock draft, his second attempt of the season, on NFL.com. It includes several noteworthy selections. On3 has compiled the list from Bucky Brooks and added some commentary below. There’s not necessarily quite as clear a consensus for the No.
1 overall pick as there is in some other years, but Carter has quickly moved to the forefront of the 2025 NFL Draft. Even given an injury that will keep him from working out at the NFL Combine, there’s enough on tape for teams to love. Carter finished his 2024 season with 68 total tackles, 23.5 tackles for a loss, 12.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, four pass breakups and four passes defended. If that isn’t No. 1 overall production we don’t know what is. Although the season feels like it just started, many fan bases are already looking ahead to 2025 NFL mock drafts.
There isn’t a top consensus prospect projected to be drafted No. 1 overall. The same goes for quarterbacks, with no clear-cut favorite emerging as the top draft prospect. But that just makes the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft even more fun. The 2025 NFL Draft order for the mock draft below was formulated using the most up-to-date NFL standings after Week 4. The Jaguars could select a franchise left tackle No. 1 overall, but there’s only one Travis Hunter. No other player offers dual positional value as an athlete capable of filling needs at wide receiver and cornerback, and the Jaguars need help in both areas. At this stage in the draft cycle, there's not much more to sort through. The picture at the top of the NFL Draft has shifted now that pro days are in the books. There is a new order for the top four picks with 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter (WR/CB) flying up the board and quarterback Shedeur Sanders sliding after Colorado's pro day. The 2025 NFL Draft is to take place from April 24-26 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. November 6, 2025, 9:49am EST 479 • By Alex Hoegler The 2025 NFL first round was packed with quarterback drama, surprise risers, and blue-chip defenders expected to become instant cornerstones. Now that we’re halfway through the season, the early returns are finally clear. Some rookies have exceeded expectations and become immediate impact players, while others are still struggling to adjust to the league’s speed and physicality.
From breakout stars reshaping their franchises to first-round gambles that haven’t paid off yet, we break down how every 2025 first-round pick has performed so far — and what their trajectory looks like heading... It’s unfair to fully blame Ward for the Tennessee Titans’ struggles. But like, Caleb Williams and Robert Griffin III had excellent rookie years on horrible teams with textbook coaching malpractice. Ward is barely completing over half his pass attempts, is in danger of finishing with more interceptions than passing touchdowns, and, oh yeah, has his Titans in a spot to potentially pick first overall... Immediate draft grades provide a foundation for future evaluations. Waiting three years to assess draft classes without accounting for how the decision was viewed at the time usually leads to revisionist history.
These 2025 NFL Draft snap grades reflect the value I think each pick (or set of picks) has, given the slot and the prospect's college film/athleticism scores. Trades, and the capital exchanged (both picks and players), are factored into these grades, too, as they also play a significant part in determining the future of a franchise. Week 14 of the NFL season featured multiple key results for teams at the top of the 2025 NFL draft. The Jacksonville Jaguars' 10-6 win over Tennessee dropped the team from the No. 1 overall slot to No. 5.
For the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants, another loss pushed them to the top of the first round. Week 15 will have more consequential matchups for the NFL draft order. A quarter of the league has three wins or less this season so each game could drastically change the top of the draft in a class that isn't as top-heavy as the 2024 class. Here's our latest mock draft prediction for the first round: The Raiders pick No. 1 overall and pick a quarterback.
For this mock, we're going with the firework creator from south Florida. Ward's impressive arm strength, elusiveness in the pocket and character make him a top pick. He does need to clean up the careless decisions that have gotten him in trouble at times in Miami, though. New York goes with another quarterback here in Sanders, who brings arguably the highest floor of any quarterback prospect in the class. Sanders' timing, accuracy and poise in the pocket will be a welcome change in New York. He'll feed Malik Nabers the ball and will hang tough in the pocket, at times to his detriment.
He doesn't have a rocket arm or mobility like Ward but he is an NFL-level starter. The 2024 College Football Playoff is upon us and the NFL season is wrapping up. Thus, we begin the best time of the year: draft season! This class is certainly interesting, and through the 2024 season we’ve seen a lot of risers and fallers throughout the process. I still think this draft class is incredibly strong in places where people have decided there is no value, and it’s reflected in the first round. There are two running backs and three tight ends in the first round compared to only three receivers and two quarterbacks, possibly a reflection of where the strengths in this class lie.
This is a very strong class at running back, with my top two backs having a lot of versatility in various run schemes. In addition, there are some very high quality tight ends, and as the NFL shifts to a 12 personnel world, they become much more valuable. Conversely, I really like this defensive class. There are a lot of very good trench players, and a versatile group of EDGE defenders throughout. We could see a run on defensive players early in this draft. Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter just won the Heisman, and while we’ve had him go No.
1 overall in previous projections, here he slips a little bit to a team that could desperately use him. With that being said, here’s the third iteration of the 2025 NFL Mock Draft. Sanders gets a lot of flak considering what his last name is, but he’s the best QB in the class to me. He shows good processing, poise and has great touch and accuracy from the pocket. He gives head coach Brian Daboll (or whoever coaches the Giants) a pocket passer they can build around. After much anticipation, the 2025 NFL Draft is just days away.
The Tennessee Titans are on the clock. Is it a formality the Titans will select Cam Ward No. 1 overall? Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry praised Colorado Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. Are the Browns targeting Hunter at No. 2?
Where is Hunter’s teammate, Shedeur Sanders, going to end up? Defensive line is considered the deepest position group in the NFL draft. This year’s running backs class is strong, too. We’re going to get answers to all our questions from the draft in Green Bay next week. USA TODAY Sports’ Tyler Dragon provides his third mock draft less than a week before all the action kicks off. The Titans and Ward have been tied together for weeks.
Tennessee’s reluctance to pursue a quarterback during free agency is an indication that they intend to draft a young passer. Ward is the consensus top QB in this year’s class. The 2024 college football season is officially underway and we've gotten our first chance to see some of the best prospects in the country make a first impression on NFL teams. That includes Colorado superstar prospects Travis Hunter, one of the most versatile players at any level of football, and Shedeur Sanders, who could be the QB1 of the 2025 NFL Draft. Call us prisoners of the moment, but the display we saw from both Hunter and Sanders in their season-opener against North Dakota State definitely got them both off on the right foot as far... We also had the legendary Dane Brugler drop a top 50 players list recently, giving some insight into which players could be the most coveted by NFL teams going into the 2024 season.
To determine the order for this 2025 NFL mock draft, I used the order of teams in my final preseason power rankings before the regular season starts. With that in mind, let's jump into the picks, including an extreme rarity of all 32 teams being included in the 1st round. There is absolutely no denying that Travis Hunter is an electric talent. Even though you expect a team like Colorado to put up numbers against an FCS team (even a powerhouse at that level like NDSU), it’s obvious that Hunter is special. He passes the eye test, he makes ridiculous plays, and he has the look of a future superstar at receiver in the NFL. The Panthers picking 1st overall might consider the QB Shedeur Sanders here, but Hunter could be the best overall talent in the class.
