2025 Nfl Draft Titans Start Over On Offense In New Mock Draft
Two years ago, the Tennessee Titans went against the opinion of most NFL draft pundits and rolled the dice on quarterback Will Levis. Now, two years later the Titans need to start over after Levis has proven to be a bust. Head coach Brian Callahan inherited the Titans' mess last season but now he's going to do his very best to move on from it and build his own team. In this latest seven-round mock draft, we keep it really simple for Tennessee and the rebuild on offense starts with the No. 1 overall pick. Ward has made a clear case to the the first quarterback off the board and his pro day solidified his spot here.
Older prospect who is an all-around defender with a high football IQ. Burner and deep threat who can pull the top off of a secondary and open up the passing game. Hindsight is 20/20, or so they say, and the NFL draft serves as the ultimate "what if?" setup. What if the Cleveland Browns chose Tom Brady instead of Spergon Wynn during the sixth round of the 2000 class? What if the Los Angeles Chargers never traded Eli Manning? What if the Oakland Raiders didn't pass on Calvin Johnson, Joe Thomas and Adrian Peterson for Jamarcus Russell?
The landscape of professional football could look completely different today based on the butterfly effect from changing one major mistake along the way. With the dust settled from the 2025 regular season, multiple franchises are likely questioning the draft moves they made eight months earlier. In retrospect, the class should have worked out quite differently based on how individuals responded upon joining the professional ranks and how each team's season unfolded. An argument can and will be made that a draft class can't be accurately evaluated until four years down the road. NFL front offices don't have that luxury. They need to constantly respond based on the information as it stands, which is exactly what Bleacher Report will do when re-evaluating the picks from the most recent draft class.
The Tennessee Titans had to select the quarterback with last year's No. 1 overall pick. The approach won't change when looking back at how the season progressed. Cam Ward flashed at times after being the top selection. Though the Titans go in a different direction since Dart's playmaking ability, when healthy, presented some wow moments. Two things separated Dart from the rest of the quarterbacks in the most recent class.
First, he's a natural playmaker as a passer and runner. Granted, the latter placed him in some difficult positions during his first season, but Dart should learn to protect himself as his career progresses. Second, he's a year younger than Ward and nearly four years younger than Tyler Shough, which gives him an edge to become the new No. 1 pick. The Cleveland Browns were believed to be enamored with Cam Ward during the predraft process, though any hope of selecting him faded as the Tennessee Titans became his obvious landing spot with the No. 1 overall pick.
Hindsight presents a different possibility. With Ward still on the board and the Browns still searching for a franchise quarterback, Cleveland does .css-8b3r8y{margin:0;font:inherit;font-style:italic;}not make the trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars to move down three spots. Instead, the Browns address the game's most important position, which could have placed the team in a very different spot this past season. Kevin Stefanski may even be the head coach if Ward started all 17 games for them. Ward was forced to take on too much in Tennessee thanks to a subpar supporting cast. Cleveland would have been a better setup overall, with talented, young offensive weapons and a strong defense to support the rookie.
As a result, Cleveland wouldn't be worrying about the quarterback position at this time. The 2025 NFL Draft begins with the Tennessee Titans at No. 1 overall, and many expect them to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward. Tennessee is in the market for a new quarterback after Will Levis struggled last season, and all the Titans did in free agency was sign Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle. Quarterback headlines the list of Titans needs, but it's not the only important position Tennessee should address later this month. The Titans are desperate for pass-rush help after parting ways with Harold Landry last month, and also need help at receiver.
While the offensive line was revamped in free agency, a couple of depth pieces would be nice, and then the Titans could target talent at linebacker, safety and running back. As it stands now, the Titans hold just two picks in the top 100 but could that change? Let's run through a seven-round mock draft for the Titans, using Pro Football Network's mock draft machine. It's hard to look at the No. 1 pick in April's NFL draft as anything but a foregone conclusion after the decisions made in the first week of NFL free agency.
Short of the Titans magically landing Josh Allen, Joe Burrow or a time-traveling Dan Marino plucked out of time from 1983, this team's going to need a quarterback. Ward is the likeliest candidate, and the Titans are in position to grab him. How does this affect the rest of the first round? Let's take a look in The Tennessean's latest 2025 NFL mock draft. Again, no surprise here. Ward's going to have to start Day 1, and the Titans are going to have to build an offense around his talents.
And, to be fair, he's got more than his fair share of talents. Big arm. Anticipates well. Moves well. Thrives in the pocket. Life in the NFL won't be easy for Ward if the Titans don't get him some more perimeter talent to target.

A new day might be beginning in Tennessee. With a new GM in former Chiefs executive Mike Borgonzi in charge of turning this team into a winner, head coach Brian Callahan might be able to turn this team around if he lands...
In the weaker AFC South, anything could be possible. The Titans have the ability to build a consistent winner in short order, but it must start with Borgonzi bringing the same drafting expertise he had in Kansas City over to Tennessee. Following this 7-round plan of attack might be the best way for Borgonzi and Callahan to realize their dream. This pick is looking more likely by the minute, as Will Levis' stagnation in his second season made this a clear and obvious pick for a Tennessee team that needs to compete with CJ... If he hits, Ward's ceiling could make him one of the AFC's premier quarterbacks. With a rocket of a right arm, great playmaking instincts, and five years of experience as a high-end college starter, Ward is without question the best quarterback prospect in this class.
Ward can start right away in Tennessee and instantly give the offense the credibility it lacked with Levis. The 2024 NFL regular season has come to a close, thus solidifying the first 18 picks of the 2025 NFL Draft. As the playoffs proceed, eliminated teams will figure out where they select in April’s draft. For the teams that failed to make the postseason, though, the draft order has already been determined. The Tennessee Titans find themselves with the No. 1 overall pick.
Should they keep it, they would be doing so for the first time since they drafted Hall of Fame running back Earl Campbell as the Houston Oilers in 1978.
