Whether it's finding a franchise quarterback, adding playmakers or shoring up the trenches, each NFL franchise will have its own unique strategy when on the clock. With that in mind, we’ve put together seven-round mock drafts for all 32 teams, addressing key needs and projecting how each roster could take shape after draft weekend. The Arizona Cardinals head into the 2025 NFL Draft with plenty of work to do, particularly on defense. While defensive coordinator Nick Rallis did an admirable job maximizing his personnel in 2024, the unit simply needs more playmakers. Arizona’s pass rush struggled all season, generating pressure on just 201 plays — ranking 26th in the NFL. Even if 2024 first-round pick Darius Robinson develops into a solid contributor, the Cardinals still lack a consistent edge rusher who can win one-on-one matchups. After I finish up “The Beast,” my attention shifts to a complete seven-round mock draft. It’s a time-exhaustive task, but I also see it as a helpful thought exercise to focus on team needs, draft trends and fits for all 32 organizations.
Scroll to the bottom for team-by-team draft hauls to better see how each team did in this scenario. (Editor’s note: An asterisk designates a compensatory draft pick.) It became clear at the combine that Ward would be the No. 1 pick. The only question: Would the Titans trade out or stick and pick themselves? Over the last month, it’s become apparent that Tennessee plans to stay in the top spot and hand Ward the keys to its franchise.
The Browns are desperate to get the quarterback position right, although I don’t expect them to force the pick. With the best player in the draft still available, it makes sense that the choice here would be Hunter, who could provide a spark on offense (and defense). From the No. 1 overall pick to Mr. Irrelevant, we’re predicting all 257 selections. It takes a special kind of degeneracy to do a seven round mock draft, but here we are.
This is the final stretch to the 2025 NFL Draft and it’s time to celebrate everyone available — even a seventh round depth cornerback who will play a little special teams and be gone... Just because this mock is BIG doesn’t mean it’s devoid of logic. We took a look at team needs, BPA value, and matched it with offensive and defensive philosophy to not just slot players in — but put them where they make sense. Also of note: There are no trades in this mock. We didn’t add them in to stop this getting too messy, but there obviously will be deals on draft night. There are a few obvious pivot points in the draft where deals are likely to be done.
So, without further ado, here’s the full mock. Feel free to use “control + f” to find your favorite team. The Titans can thank the Jaguars for putting them in position to obtain a franchise quarterback now that they have a top-two selection. This assumes that they don’t sign Aaron Rodgers and look elsewhere for a signal-caller. Rodgers to Tennessee is a very real possibility, however, and this mock will obvioulsy be adjusted if that happens. I’ve switched this pick from Shedeur Sanders to Cam Ward for two reasons.
First, Deion Sanders, who will have a say in where his son plays, may not want Shedeur in Tennessee because of how the organization handled Ran Carthon’s firing. Deion was openly upset about this move. Second, there might be a trend for teams to find the next Jayden Daniels, and Ward resembles Daniels more than Sanders. Ward is a dual-threat quarterback who was very productive at Washington State and now Miami. *** OTHER 2025 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: *** 1.
None – The only way Ward isn’t the pick is if he falls down the stairs or is abducted by aliens. Gannett may earn revenue from sports betting operators for audience referrals to betting services.
