2025 Nfl Draft Titans Mock Draft Lands Cam Ward
One of the most quarterback-needy teams in the NFL right now is the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Brian Callahan weathered the storm last season in his first year in charge but we think it's safe to assume he's not going to be content to trot out Will Levis again... The Titans didn't address the position in free agency so we turn our attention to the 2025 NFL draft. We took this into consideration when we updated our Titans seven-round mock draft after the first wave of free agency. We aren't a huge fan of Ward going No. 1 overall but unless the Titans get a mint for the pick, we expect them to stay put and roll the dice on Ward.
With a new quarterback, he needs weapons and Loveland is an elite weapon in the passing game thanks to his size and high football IQ. Highly competitive man cornerback with elite length and solid athleticism. PRO: The Titans selected Cam Ward in the first round (first overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2-inch, 219-pounder is a crafty playmaker who operates well under pressure, throws with accuracy and velocity and commands the offense. A native of West Columbia, Texas, he began his college career with two seasons at Incarnate Word before transferring to Washington State where he also spent two seasons. For his graduate year, he took his talents to the University of Miami, where he set multiple program records and became a Heisman finalist while leading the Hurricanes to their first 10-win season since...
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: • Ward was invited to New York City as one of four Heisman Trophy finalists in 2024. • Named winner of 2024 Davey O'Brien Award, recognizing the nation's top quarterback. Was named ACC Player of the Year and ACC Offensive Player of the Year and was a first team All-ACC honoree while being named a consensus first team All-American. • Set Miami's single-season record for passing yards (4,313) and touchdowns (39) and completion percentage (67.2 percent 305-for-454). • Became the all-time Division I combined touchdown leader after throwing three touchdown passes in the Pop-Tarts Bowl to surpass Case Keenum with 158 career touchdown passes. TITANS TIDBITS: • Ward was a zero-star recruit coming out of high school.
The only Division I program to offer Ward a scholarship was Incarnate Word where he spent his first two college seasons. As a sophomore, he led the program to its first 10-win season and playoff run. He led the FCS in passing touchdowns in both of his first two seasons. • Ward became the franchise's third player to be drafted with the first overall pick. In 1973, the Oilers selected defensive end John Matuszak with the top pick, and in 1978, they traded up to select running back Earl Campbell with the first selection. • Ward is the third Miami product to be taken by the franchise in the first round joining Kenny Holmes (1997 - 18th overall) and Alonzo Highsmith (197 - 3rd overall).
He is also the third Hurricane ever taken with the first overall pick joining Russell Maryland (1991- Dallas) and Vinny Testaverde (1987 - Tampa Bay). • Ward is cousins with former Titans safety and 10-year NFL veteran, Quandre Diggs, as well as Quentin Jammer, who played cornerback for 12 seasons in the NFL. CAREER TRANSACTIONS: • The West Columbia, Texas, native was selected by the Titans in the first round (1st overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft. COLLEGE: • Ward began his career at Incarnate Word before transferring to Washington State and then ending his career at the University of Miami. In five total seasons on the field, he started in 57 games, completing 1,516 of 2,330 passes for 18,184 yards with 158 touchdowns. Totaled 399 rushes for 473 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Ward finished his career with a 10-3 record at Miami, leading the Canes to their first 10-win season since 2017. Ward broke the record for Division I touchdown passes. He also set multiple program records at Incarnate Word and University of Miami. Ward was invited to New York City as a Heisman Finalist following his graduate season. Titans land Cam Ward, Browns reunite Hunter and Sanders in 2025 NFL Draft. The 2025 NFL Draft starts Thursday night with the first round.
We break down the NFL Draft one last time with a Mock Draft. Tennessee gets its quarterback for the future in Ward. Cleveland gets a difference maker on both sides of the ball in Hunter. Something they desperately need. New York Giants decide to take an edge defender in Carter rather than pick Shedeur Sanders with this pick. A brand-new Tennessee Titans seven-round 2025 NFL mock draft
The 2025 NFL Draft is approximately two weeks away! The Tennessee Titans are expected to select Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall selection. That plan became even more evident after the team canceled its scheduled private workout with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. General manager Mike Borgonzi will then shift attention to filling holes at wide receiver and EDGE. With the 2025 NFL Draft looming, we’ve completed another fresh predictive seven-round mock.
Ward will immediately add a playmaking element to the Titans’ offense that was sorely lacking last season. His ability to be an off-script magician should add a layer of excitement to Brian Callahan’s offense. Ward has seriously impressed the Titans throughout the pre-draft process. James Pearce Jr. has character concerns, which could see him slide out of the first round. Would the Titans roll the dice on his elite pass-rushing potential at No.
35? Pearce Jr. played college football locally for the Tennessee Volunteers, adding another layer of intrigue here. Alternatively, the Titans could look to trade down five-10 spots to recoup the third-round pick they currently lack. Months and months of mock draft have all led to this . .
. and it's still next to impossible to predict what the 2025 NFL Draft is going to look like for the Tennessee Titans after Round 1. All of the news, analysts, fan predictions and Fortnite streams seem to point toward the Titans picking Miami quarterback Cam Ward first overall when the draft begins Thursday, April 24. After that, it's hard to say. First-year general manager Mike Borgonzi inherits a roster that needs help just about everywhere. And with this being his first draft, no one yet knows how he'll prioritize positional value vs.
need vs. picking the best player available, and how willing he will be to making trades moving up and down the board. Throw in the fact that this year's first round figures to be one of the most unpredictable in years — it's tough to even begin guessing who will be on the board when the... 35 in the second round. But let's try. Here's The Tennessean's final swing at a Titans seven-round mock draft.
And oh, what a mystery it has been. The Titans have been bracing for this for months, and Ward comes in as the presumptive starter who'll be tasked with fixing an offense that hasn't been effective through the air for half a... The Tennessee Titans are likely taking Cam Ward first overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, but what will they do after that? With Cam Ward likely heading off of the board, the franchise is at least putting their chips in on Ward and the hopes that he can work out in the NFL. No one truly knows what'll happen with Cam Ward, but he is the clear-cut best QB prospect in the NFL Draft, and I am not sure that is even up for discussion at this... Let's see if the Titans can go all-in and build around Cam Ward in this 2025 NFL mock draft.
It seems like over the last few weeks, it's become evident that Cam Ward is the best QB prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft class. However, had Ward been in the 2024 NFL Draft class, we might be talking about a player who is a borderline first-round pick. While Ward is a good prospect, he's nothing special and might not be able to develop into an elite passer, but with how weak the AFC South currently is, Ward and the Tennessee Titans...
