The NFL draft starts April 24 in Green Bay, Wis. By the time it ends sometime late afternoon on April 26, 256 players will have heard their names called as they realize the first step of their pro football dreams. Here's the Beacon Journal's list of the top 300 prospects heading into the draft, starting with a former Heisman Trophy winner atop the list, even if he appears to be going No. 2 in the draft. The list in divided up into rough tiers, based on where players could potentially fall in the actual draft. 33.
Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College 91. Demetrius Knight Jr., LB, South Carolina 108. David Walker, Edge, Central Arkansas The 2025 NFL Draft class is rounding into shape, and we’re getting a clearer picture of some of the top prospects and the position groups with the most depth.
The top prospect on the board is Colorado’s Travis Hunter, a rare talent with the potential to start at the NFL level as either a wide receiver or cornerback. After Hunter, Penn State stud Abdul Carter, Michigan standout Mason Graham, Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan and Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty are some of the premier players in this draft class. The running back, tight end and offensive tackle positions seem to be the deepest and strongest on the offensive side of the ball. On defense, the edge defender group is as deep as we’ve seen in several years, dominating the projected top 50. There are also more impact defensive backs this year than a year ago, with plenty of options on all three days of the draft, specifically on Days 2 and 3. Here are PFF's top 350 draft prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft, along with some scouting notes courtesy of lead draft analyst Trevor Sikkema.

As a cornerback, he brings good mirror-matching movements and truly elite ball skills. He can be a bit out of control and lacks some density, which gets exposed the most in press-man coverage. As a primary zone defender with press-man flexibility, he can be an immediate starting cornerback with an All-Pro ceiling. The stage is set as the eyes of the football world focus in on Green Bay.
The tape has been watched, prospects have been ranked, and our finalized 2025 NFL Draft Top 300 Big Board presents the top prospects in April’s showcase event. Our bumper big board offers a comprehensive view of the 2025 NFL Draft class and presents the bigger picture. Discover who lands where in our top 300 ranks below! However you want to label Jalon Walker, his upside as a pass rusher is undeniable. The Georgia Bulldogs defender was used across the formation in Kirby Smart’s defense, but his best snaps came when rushing the passer. With 60 tackles, 11 TFLs, and 6.5 sacks in 2024, Walker has displayed a developed and refined pass rush plan that can be further unlocked in the NFL.
At 6’1” and 243 pounds, the Georgia versatile defender is undersized compared to pure edge rushers, but those buying into Walker are doing so with a vision for his ceiling. His potential is sky high heading to the pros, where his intense motor, natural bend, sudden movement, and refined instincts will allow him to be an adaptable playmaker under a creative play-caller. The 2025 NFL Draft is here, and yours truly could not be more excited! After months of writing scouting reports for FFSN and SCN, I am thrilled to release to you my final 2025 NFL Draft Big Board. The top prospects will have full scouting reports, while the majority of Day 2 prospects will have ‘quick hitters’ that give a brief rundown as to what type of player that prospect profiles as. Height: 6’1″ Weight: 185 lbs Draft Projection: Top 5 Notable Accomplishment: 2024 Heisman Trophy Winner
Pros: Hunter is an elite athlete with the agility to break defenders’ ankles as a receiver and the fluidity to change direction as a corner in coverage. For anyone to play on offense and defense with minimal breaks in a game is absolutely incredible, and it only exposes Hunter’s incredible endurance and work ethic. As a receiver, Hunter has a great feel for zone coverage and recognizes where the soft spots are. When facing man coverage, Hunter does a great job creating separation at the cut, and his awareness and ball-tracking ability down the field allow him to make tough catches near the sideline and in... As a corner, Hunter’s fluid backpedal and elite instincts allow him to react and create splash plays on the ball in zone coverage, and in man coverage, he gets good position against receivers at... His athleticism allows him to hang with even the most athletic receivers.
Cons: While there is not much to pick apart about Hunter’s game, my primary concern lies in the fact that his frame is on the slim side. Time in an NFL weight room should resolve the issue in short order, but it is something worth monitoring for durability purposes. He also is unlikely to be a full-time starter at both receiver and corner in the NFL. It simply is not sustainable over a full career to play two positions at an extremely high level. He will need to commit to one at some point and focus on mastering that position. The 2025 NFL Draft is just days away and all 32 teams are busy making final tweaks to their draft boards and devising plans.

The NFL Draft is just days away and final grades are in for the Class of 2025 prospects. With no team needs to satisfy and data from the Combine and pro days factored in, the following is a list and rationale of my highest-ranked 150 prospects available in this year's draft.
