2024 Nfl Mock Draft First Round Picks Predictions
Kyle Lindemann's updated NFL Mock Draft predictions for the 1st round of the 2024 NFL Draft post-Free Agency. He predicts every Round 1 2024 NFL Draft pick as well as the first pick for the teams who do not have a first-round selection. We've now reached the point in the year where the disappointment of there not being any live football until the fall has subsided and hope has begun to renew for each fanbase heading into... The first wave of NFL Free Agency has also passed and the rosters of all 32 teams have begun shaping up. Certain teams have even tipped their hand before the 2024 NFL Draft and we have a better idea of what they might do on draft night. The Minnesota Vikings have already engaged in a pre-draft trade with the Houston Texans where they now have two first-round picks in 2024, presumably to come up for a quarterback!
This year's class features an impressive array of offensive firepower and your team is in luck if they need help at Wide Receiver or Offensive Tackle. The offensive smorgasbord in this year’s draft is a fantasy football and dynasty football fan's dream. While the running backs haven't been catching any of the draft buzz, there are plenty of talented guys available in Rounds 3-4. Keep in mind, this Mock Draft is never about what I would do, but rather a strategic stitch-up of team needs and draft analytics. It's a blend of roster scanning, scuttlebutt from beat reports, GM draft tendencies, and scheme fits: all brewed into one giant concoction. Sure, the draft landscape will still shift a bit over the next four-plus weeks, but things are taking shape.
Here at RotoBaller, we’re dishing out monthly mock drafts, simmering with insights right up until the 2024 Draft's grand unveiling. Ready to dive into the draft drama? Let's roll! 1. Chicago Bears (through Carolina) - Caleb Williams - QB, USC After a year of anticipation, the 2024 NFL Draft is finally here.
With that in mind, let’s take one last try at projecting all 32 first-round picks with a final 2024 mock draft. It’s hard to remember the last prospect who went coast to coast as the consensus top player in a class. Was it Jadeveon Clowney in 2014? Jameis Winston in 2015? Either way, Caleb Williams will break that trend when the Bears officially make him this year’s No. 1 pick as Chicago looks to finally land a franchise quarterback.
Despite Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye largely being viewed as on an even playing field as prospects, the consensus has seemingly been that Washington will take the former with the No. 2 pick. I’ll stick with that here, as it’s easy to envision the reigning Heisman Trophy winner finding instant success in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense. This might be the easiest pick in the draft. Unless the Patriots trade down, one would imagine they’ll be taking whoever’s still available between Daniels and Drake Maye. In this instance, that happens to be Maye as New England takes its second swing on a first-round quarterback in the post-Tom Brady era.
The NFL Draft isn’t just a game-changing time for teams. It’s also become a bettors paradise where you can bet on every pick throughout all seven rounds. This guide featured 32 bets ahead of Thursday’s first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, which begins at 8 p.m. ET, when the Bears are on the clock and will likely take Caleb Williams. The previous two years of the sports bettors Mock Draft have each ended in multiple units of profit and we look to bring in a third straight strong year. There’s growing chatter that Washington is set to take Jayden Daniels at No.
2, with the first true intrigue coming at pick No. 3 and who will take the plunge on North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye. NFL teams are now fully into off-season mode with NFL free agency looming in just a few weeks at the start of the league year. Ahead of that, the NFL Scouting Combine kicks off on Monday, Feb. 26 with more than 300 college football players set to attend. They'll be put through drills, meet with coaches and general managers, and be measured ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft in April.
Thanks to the Kansas City Chiefs' 25-22 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58, the NFL draft order is officially set. All 32 picks are in place pending trades leading up to and during the draft process. This year's group of college players could be one of the best in years, especially on offense. Top players at quarterback, wide receiver, and offensive line may be difference makers as rookies. It's hard to determine for certain which teams will pick specific players but mock drafts from USA Today's Nate Davis and Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz look to answer that. Here's what they think.
This is one of six consensus picks at USA Today. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner has long been considered a top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. If selected first overall, Williams would make it six quarterbacks taken with the first pick in the last seven drafts - the lone exception coming in 2022 when the Jaguars selected defensive end Travon... Williams will be the 26th USC quarterback drafted to the NFL - the first since Sam Darnold in 2018 - but could be just the second quarterback in Trojans' history to go first overall,... Middlehurst-Schwartz: "It's hard not to imagine Chicago's future with the electric Williams. In placing him with a burgeoning supporting cast – which should grow significantly more formidable with a draft class that could be enhanced by a Fields trade – the Bears would be able to...
The moment has arrived: My 2024 NFL Mock Draft 1.0 is officially here, and the excitement is through the roof. As we dive deep into the pre-draft frenzy, I felt compelled to share my inaugural mock draft predictions before the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine shakes up the scene. The combine is notorious for sending prospects soaring or tumbling on draft boards based on their performance, and we can anticipate a flurry of draft trades in its aftermath. Lucas Oil Stadium is set to be the epicenter of networking for the league’s top decision-makers and coaching staff. Hence, it’s crucial to present my projections now, before the draft landscape is turned upside down by the upcoming events. Sit back and enjoy!
Please note that this mock draft reflects my predictions of the draft outcomes, rather than my personal choices for each team. Because who cares “what I would do” as we want to project what happens to take advantage in our fantasy football leagues and NFL Draft Betting Props. With the NFL season slowly coming to an end, it’s time to put some excitement back in those franchises that are on the outside looking in of the playoff picture. Let’s take an early look at where some NFL franchises could fall on the draft board, what teams could be looking to move around in the first round and some of the biggest stars... I would also like to add that any and all other complaints, petitions or ideas regarding this article should be directed towards @ThatMattKelley on Twitter/X. Any compliments, feel free to send them to @Hoovtube; we’d love to hear your feedback.
Only Bears fans could have a starting-caliber quarterback that’s viewed unanimously around the league as one, yet they think that a new one will fix the problems that have been going on in Chicago... Justin Fields is NOT the problem. So why not give him a greater chance at success by moving down from first overall and continuing to build a team around him? As for the Patriots, though… yeah, Mac Jones is the problem. With Bill Belichick more than likely coaching his last season in New England, Robert Kraft will have to start looking for the future of the Patriots with a new general manager and head coach. It will be extremely difficult to find a highly sought-after head coaching candidate who wants to try to fill Belichick’s shoes.
Maybe allowing your next head coach to draft someone like Caleb Williams could help turn a few heads toward New England? After the Bears move down from the 1.01, they can still select a generational playmaker for their offense and, more importantly, one that will give Fields a chance at success with a fellow Ohio... I know, I know ... They'll let anyone do a mock draft these days. In truth, though, when it comes to this particular exercise, this isn't my first rodeo. If you're new here, first, let me say, "Welcome!" More importantly, THIS ISN'T A PREDICTIVE MOCK.
I don't play that unwinnable game. No disrespect to DJ, Bucky, Chad or any of my other esteemed colleagues -- it's just not my bag. Instead, what I do, as a resident know-it-all, is offer recommendations to organizations. Similar to those consultants in Office Space. Like back in April of 2022, when I told Jacksonville to take Aidan Hutchinson with the first overall pick. The Jaguars should've listened.
Then again, in that same file, I advised spending the sixth overall pick on Malik Willis. So it's not like I'm batting 1.000. And it's not like you're even still reading this intro; instead, you're already roasting me for the suggested picks below. So, let's just get started. Love what you're doing, Bears. I'm a fan.
You went out and got a pair of proven playmakers in WR Keenan Allen and RB D'Andre Swift. And while I wish you would have provided similar support for Justin Fields, I'm not going to be like a lot of Bears Twitter and continue dwelling on a QB debate that is already... I understand the reasoning behind your decision -- the allure of a rookie contract at the game's most important/expensive position is just too great to pass up -- so go grab the guy who's... 1 pick in this draft for literal years. I don't care about the color of his phone. Dude can ball.
It's a slam dunk. But I swear, if you got rid of Justin Fields for smaller Justin Fields (Jayden Daniels), I'm out. I'll start a Rams podcast. I'm dead serious.
