2024 Nfl Mock Draft With Trades First Round Picks Predictions
Mike Fanelli provides his first 2024 NFL mock draft of the year. This first-round mock draft includes six potential trades! The 2024 NFL Draft is less than a month away. Yet, that isn’t soon enough for football fans. While everyone wants to discuss the quarterback class and the first few picks, the NFL Draft doesn’t end after the first round. Teams will find starters and star players on the second and third days of the draft.
However, my first mock draft of the year for RotoBaller is for the first round only. My mock draft has six potential trades, including three in the first eight picks. 1) Chicago Bears (via Carolina) – Caleb Williams (QB – USC) With the NFL season slowly coming to an end, it’s time to put some excitement back in those franchises that are on the outside looking in of the playoff picture. Let’s take an early look at where some NFL franchises could fall on the draft board, what teams could be looking to move around in the first round and some of the biggest stars... I would also like to add that any and all other complaints, petitions or ideas regarding this article should be directed towards @ThatMattKelley on Twitter/X.
Any compliments, feel free to send them to @Hoovtube; we’d love to hear your feedback. Only Bears fans could have a starting-caliber quarterback that’s viewed unanimously around the league as one, yet they think that a new one will fix the problems that have been going on in Chicago... Justin Fields is NOT the problem. So why not give him a greater chance at success by moving down from first overall and continuing to build a team around him? As for the Patriots, though… yeah, Mac Jones is the problem. With Bill Belichick more than likely coaching his last season in New England, Robert Kraft will have to start looking for the future of the Patriots with a new general manager and head coach.
It will be extremely difficult to find a highly sought-after head coaching candidate who wants to try to fill Belichick’s shoes. Maybe allowing your next head coach to draft someone like Caleb Williams could help turn a few heads toward New England? After the Bears move down from the 1.01, they can still select a generational playmaker for their offense and, more importantly, one that will give Fields a chance at success with a fellow Ohio... After a year of anticipation, the 2024 NFL Draft is finally here. With that in mind, let’s take one last try at projecting all 32 first-round picks with a final 2024 mock draft. It’s hard to remember the last prospect who went coast to coast as the consensus top player in a class.
Was it Jadeveon Clowney in 2014? Jameis Winston in 2015? Either way, Caleb Williams will break that trend when the Bears officially make him this year’s No. 1 pick as Chicago looks to finally land a franchise quarterback. Despite Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye largely being viewed as on an even playing field as prospects, the consensus has seemingly been that Washington will take the former with the No. 2 pick.
I’ll stick with that here, as it’s easy to envision the reigning Heisman Trophy winner finding instant success in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense. This might be the easiest pick in the draft. Unless the Patriots trade down, one would imagine they’ll be taking whoever’s still available between Daniels and Drake Maye. In this instance, that happens to be Maye as New England takes its second swing on a first-round quarterback in the post-Tom Brady era. Predicting what's going to happen in the 2024 NFL Draft feels absolutely like a fool's errand. This is one of the most impossible drafts to forecast in recent memory, which is kind of what comes with the territory with the four top quarterbacks -- Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels...
McCarthy -- involved. But predict this draft we shall with our final 2024 NFL Mock Draft. Based on all of the rumors over the past month, trying to weed through the smokescreens, this is how I see every first-round pick playing out on Thursday night to get the 2024 NFL... There are a flurry of trades projected and some wild movement, but in the end, it all feels quite realistic. So let's get into it. We are pretty confidently predicting the No.
1 pick in the 2024 draft as we have been for months now, but after that, we're just flying by the seat of our pants with logic, rumors, and everything in-between reigning supreme for... There’s no need to exhaust much oxygen (or finger-based energy) on this pick. Caleb Williams has remained firm as the best quarterback in this draft class, the Bears have made no secrets that the former Heisman Trophy winner is the pick, and he’s going to be the... Jayden Daniels is not my second-ranked quarterback in this class but I’m buying all of the rumors that he’s going to be the No. 2 overall pick to the Washington Commanders. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner comes with a high-ish floor because of his elite scrambling and mobility but with massive upside as well.
I still believe there are higher ceilings but he could work with Kliff Kingsbury and a strong cast of weapons in DC. The NFL combine is one of the more significant markers that the NFL draft is right around the corner. With the combine happening this week, there is no better time to drop my first NFL mock draft of the offseason. As we move past free agency and teams’ needs develop even further, be on the lookout for updated mock drafts from myself and the FantasyPros team. Whether you are a fan of Williams or one of the other top quarterback options in this year’s class, it’s safe to say that the Justin Fields Era is coming to an end in... To me, the answer is clear.
Caleb Williams brings his impressive skillset to Chicago and, with it, the most tantalizing upside the city has seen since, well, Justin Fields. Check out our full 2024 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Caleb Williams Daniels improved as a passer every year in college, but he still falls behind Drake Maye in my rookie grading. While Daniels does bring game-breaking speed and elite upside, he rarely gets past his first read and looks to run early and often. Nevertheless, Washington gets their guy, and Kliff Kingsbury gets a chance to coach another young mobile quarterback in Jayden Daniels, reminiscent of his time with Kyler Murray. For this year’s NFL Draft, it’s still all about the quarterbacks and getting more that way every day. However, Bucky Brooks, who studies these trends for NFL.com, scrambled the order, sending one elite QB out of the top 10. Yes, Brooks has Caleb Willams going No. 1 to the Bears. The consensus for Williams as the top selection is solidifying, a week after he conducted his Pro Day in Los Angeles. Here’s what’s new.
Brooks moved Jayden Daniels, the reigning Heisman winner, to No. 2, with Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy going third to the Patriots. But what about Drake Maye? The North Carolina Tar Heel falls all the way to 11th, with the Vikings. Minnesota would certainly celebrate landing Maye, since they’re looking for a replacement for Kirk Cousins.
Brooks’ mock is heavy on offense. it’s going to be that kind of NFL Draft. There’s only one defender amongst the top 10 picks and a dozen overall, with most of those coming in the final half of the first round. So let’s take a look. The Bears sent a big group to Los Angeles to check out Williams in person. They’d already tipped their hand about their plans for No.
1 when Chicago sent Justin Fields to the Steelers in return for a conditional sixth-round pick. The Bears also started signing players to help a rookie quarterback, including Keenan Allen. Brooks said “Williams steps into an upgraded offensive lineup that should enable him to flourish as a starter from Day 1.” The 2024 NFL Draft is nearly here. After an offseason filled with rumors, a flurry of free-agent signings and some draft pick trades, things officially get going in Detroit on Thursday, April 25.
