The mission of the Washington Financial Aid Association (WFAA) is to effectively serve the interests and needs of its membership and constituents through the coordination of financial aid information, programs, and activities. Thank you all who presented at and/or attended our 2024 annual conference. You can access the agenda and presentation materials (member login required) from the 2024 WFAA Conference, as well as some materials from prior conferences, on the WFAA Annual Conferences page. Updates for the 2025 WFAA Conference in Tacoma, WA will be posted on the same page. Please have a look around our site. If you aren't already a member, please consider joining.

If you are a member and would like to be more active, we have plenty of opportunities to get involved! You make this organization what it is! WFAA is committed to supporting diversity, equity and inclusion across our colleges and universities. The State of Washington recognizes tribal sovereignty and that the Pacific Northwest holds spiritual, cultural and personal significance for Tribal nations. WFAA also acknowledges that we occupy, provide services, and gather on the ancestral homelands of Tribal nations, who have lived in this region from time immemorial and continue to live in this region today. We recognize our presence and honor the resilience and history of these communities.

WASHINGTON — A group of Buddhist monks is persevering in their walking trek across much of the U.S. to promote peace, even after two of its members were injured when a truck hit their escort vehicle. After starting their walk in Fort Worth, Texas, on Oct. 26, the group of about two dozen monks has made it to Georgia as they continue on a path to Washington, D.C., highlighting Buddhism's long tradition of activism for peace. After a stretch of unseasonably warm weather, a cold front brings temperatures down to start the new week.
