Unearthed Video Trump In 2018 Celebrated Following Policy
Project 2025 would replace federal workers with extreme Trump loyalists and strip rights away from Americans In resurfaced audio, former President Donald Trump celebrated his administration's efforts to implement the Heritage Foundation’s policy recommendations during his first year in office, saying, “The Heritage Foundation just came out recently, and they... And that's ahead of anybody, including Ronald Reagan.” Heritage Foundation is the leading think tank behind Project 2025, an extreme right-wing initiative to provide policy and personnel to the next Republican presidential administration. The effort involves more than 100 partner organizations, and its nearly 900-page policy book — Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise — represents a major threat to democracy. Project 2025 proposals would severely inhibit the federal government’s protections around reproductive rights, LGBTQ and civil rights, and immigration, as well as its climate change efforts.
On their own platforms, Project 2025 partners speak frequently in even more draconian terms. During a June 2018 roundtable on tax reform in Las Vegas, Trump bragged about implementing “top agenda items” suggested by the Heritage Foundation in his first year. Trump upended the world order, border and trade policies, and his own staff. In his second year in the White House, President Donald Trump proved he was dedicated to executing the controversial policies he promoted on the campaign trail. In addition to the swirl of investigations and the political roller coaster of the midterm elections, Trump upended traditional concepts of global alliances, border and trade policy, and traditional White House norms in 2018. Turnover within his Cabinet and staff broke records.

The Trump administration seized on opportunities to turn explosive campaign rhetoric into immigration and trade policy. 2020 presidential election overturning attempts The following is a timeline of the first presidency of Donald Trump during the second quarter of 2018, from April 1 to June 30, 2018. More than 103,000 jobs were created in March as the unemployment rate remained stable into April. At the start of the quarter, the U.S. stock market experienced daily sell-offs and recoveries due to a burgeoning U.S.–China trade war and increased political scrutiny of American business icons Amazon and Facebook.[1][2] In May, the U.S. Labor Department reported a seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of 3.9% for April and an increase of 164,000 jobs.
Wages grew by 2.6%. Hiring gains were broad based with jobs being added in the fields of professional and business services, health care, manufacturing, and mining.[3] According to FiveThirtyEight, President Trump's approval rate at the beginning of this quarter was 40.5%, down 4.9% from the start of his presidency.[4] By May 1, it had improved to 41.2%.
