Critical Mass Nola is a volunteer-led organization committed to grassroots social change. We believe that everyday people should give political direction in our city, and that our streets should be planned to meet the needs of the people and the planet. Movements ebb and flow, but it is organization that sustains us. We operate not out of popular positions, but by principle—rooted in clarity, purpose, and a program for lasting change. Critical Mass Nola takes to the streets every last Friday of the Month to declare our right to the road. We do not create traffic, we are traffic.

Ride with the resistance on a bike ride that is both a protest and a celebration of the joys of bicycling in the city. As an organization committed to the transformation of our infrastructure, we believe our struggle is inseparable from the broader fight for social justice. We build coalitions and foster solidarity with groups who share our vision of a city transformed by and for the people. We do not win until we all win. Our community engagement rides are organized to learn from and uplift the work of other organizations addressing issues ranging from mass incarceration and cooperative economics to environmental justice and immigration.
