The O's also presented a $10,000 check to The World Pediatric Project in Ortiz's name. The organization helps critically ill children in his homeland, the Dominican Republic. Ortiz didn't seem too pleased by the phone stunt, and walked off the field without his memento - Jones had to chase after him with an "Oh, you forgot this" gait. But he might have enjoyed the highlight-reel the Orioles showed of Papi's homers against the mutual rival New York Yankees.
