NRQ, a new jazz band made up of a quintet of veterans who are deeply knowledgeable about the city's musical history, will be performing 2 shows at Snug Harbor on Thursday, July 6th. According to their producers Brian D’Arcy & Matt Dillon, this crew combines "an ear to the past with eyes to the future." New Orleans, of course, is world-famous for its jazz. Whether you're strolling through the streets or hanging out at a nightclub, you'll be hearing artists who long ago absorbed the work of such giants as Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, and Sydney Bechet. NRQ is devoted to reinventing and reimagining those pioneers. Get your fix of NOLA Resistance music anytime, anywhere!
