In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano each share their final New York Jets 2025 NFL Mock Drafts. Mike has the Jets drafting Tyler Warren, while Justin went with a surprise Jalon Walker selection. What about the rest of the mock projections? One quick note before we dive in: Justin's mock was a predictive one, based on what he believes the Jets will do, while Mike's was more of a personal mock — what he would... Justin kicked things off with a bold swing at No. 7 overall, selecting Georgia linebacker/edge rusher Jalon Walker.

It’s a controversial pick, especially with more popular targets like Tyler Warren and Mason Graham still on the board, but don't sleep on Walker as a Jets target. The 21-year-old led Georgia in pressures in 2024 despite playing the seventh-fewest pass-rush snaps on the team. The Jets bet on the high-ceiling defensive chess piece to anchor Aaron Glenn’s new-look defense. Justin followed that up with Oregon’s Josh Conerly Jr. to help fortify the offensive line and found value on Day 3 with players like Clemson safety R.J. Mickens — son of former Jets cornerback Ray Mickens — and Arizona running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, among others.

I’m excited to see what happens and I’ll be relieved when it’s over. I haven’t produced a lot of mock drafts, mainly because there is such an oversaturation now. I quite enjoy a mock draft because it offers different perspectives and gives you something to think about, at at the end of the day it’s a bit of fun during a quiet time...

However I do like to finish the draft cycle with one final mock for how I’d like to see it all play out. I’m not suggesting this will happen or that this is the only way I’d be happy, it’s just my thoughts having spent a considerable amount of time looking at these prospects. The truth is I’d be happy with a number of players throughout the draft and any and every player will be greeted with excitement, even if I don’t rate them. 🟢 Daniel Jeremiah offered some thoughts on the whole OT v TE debate and he had an interesting take on Loveland being a better prospect than Membou - "They could kind of put the... He'd be very comfortable there and, all of a sudden now, what was an endless journey to fix the offensive line, you could almost say it's pretty complete with him. To me, it's simply how you grade them.

I'd have both of those tight ends over him. So if they want to stay best available and stay true to the board, I would take Tyler Warren and I wouldn't hesitate to take Colston Loveland, either." 🟢 Here’s a great little nugget from Albert Breer and worth filing away in the back of your mind - “One name that I think is sort of interesting here. If there is a curveball & I think this is too high for him, but if there is a curveball, it has been pointed out to me how good of a fit Jahdae Barron,... That is one I would file away if they were able to trade down somehow, maybe Barron is somebody that comes on the radar for them. I like the idea of that there.”

🟢 Nice little nugget from Rich Cimini - “They've (Jets) selected 5 tight ends in the first round in the common-draft era (since 1967), the most of any team. Most recent: Dustin Keller, 2008.” In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss the recent Zach Wilson trade and provide their final Jets mock drafts ahead of this week's 2024 NFL Draft. The bulk of the episode was devoted to Justin and Mike's respective Jets mock drafts, but before that, the two discussed the recent Zach Wilson trade and what it means for the organization moving... Did the Jets fail Wilson or did Wilson fail the Jets? Did the Jets receive good value in the Wilson trade?

Are the Denver Broncos an attractive landing spot for the former BYU star? All of this was discussed. The remainder of the episode was spent breaking down the seven-round Jets mock drafts that Justin and Mike put together. 14 different players were discussed in total, and neither Justin nor Mike projected any trades. The entirety of the mock drafts can be found within the episode, but Justin had the Jets selecting Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze with the 10th overall pick while Mike had his team taking...
