Watershed Pub & Kitchen10104 3rd Ave NESeattle, WA 98125Venue website To begin, on behalf of your 2025 PRSA Puget Sound Chapter Board of Directors, I want to congratulate Annie Alley, Co-owner and Partner at Firmani + Associates Inc.. Annie has been selected as the 2025 PRSA Puget Sound PR Professional of the Year!
We’ll learn more about Annie and her incredible journey at the 2025 PRSA Puget Sound Summit Awards, but I want to share a note from her nomination. “From rodeo queen to agency owner, Annie Alley is a natural-born PR leader. Whether she’s crafting a killer strategic marketing and communications plan, inspiring her teams to pursue their passions and level-up their PR prowess, or building deep client relationships and giving back to her community –... We’re also thrilled to announce this year’s Summit Awards emcee, Emmy winning host and reporter Saint Bryan from KING 5! Saint will join us August 20 to help commemorate the best-of-the-best of the PR and communications profession in our region. We have an exciting program planned for you and I personally can’t wait to be together again for this evening of awards, community, and celebration.
Do not delay in purchasing your tickets – you don’t want to miss out on this fun! I also want to recognize that for many, the state of the world can be, quite frankly, overwhelming. It is important to remember to take time to prioritize yourself and your mental health when possible. This summer I prioritized live music, good food, and time to completely disconnect without technology. I have said before – as PR and communications professionals we are often first to know, first to have to respond, and the last to be able to process and grieve. There are a ton of resources out there, but I want to highlight a couple with you that are specific to PR and communications professionals: Muck Rack guided mediation for PR pros; PRSA blog...
Most importantly, remember you are not alone and have a community of peers with PRSA and the PRSA Puget Sound Chapter who know all too well the struggles of the profession and can be... I hope to see many of you at the Summit Awards and at one of our upcoming networking mixers. Eric MossPresident, PRSA Puget Sound Chapter Congratulations to the 2024 Summit Award winners! All well deserved. Our chapter was honored to receive applications from incredible students enrolled at institutions around the state in 2024.
After careful consideration, our judging panel named Gracey Harvey and Ashley Stirpe as our 2024 award recipients. This year, our chapter received numerous impressive applications from students across Washington. After careful evaluation, our Scholarship Committee selected Sophie Cadran and Azaria Purdy as the 2025 award recipients. Last year, Marissa Crane was the recipient of PRSA Puget Sound’s Horace and Susie Revels Cayton Scholarship, which supports students from systemically underrepresented racial/ethnic backgrounds who are pursuing a public relations career. Tacoma community booster and public relations pioneer Dan Voelpel, 62, died Jan. 4, 2023, after a battle with brain cancer that caused him to step down last year from his longstanding role as the Tacoma Public Schools executive director of communication.
Why attend the 2025 PRSA Puget Sound Annual Meeting on Oct. 14? ☑️ Time to connect with fellow communications pros ☑️ Top-notch keynote speaker in Katherine Cheng, executive leader in ESG, social impact and inclusive engagement ☑️ Presentation of exciting and well-deserved lifetime achievement awards to...
