The Center for Progressive Reform and Governing for Impact are monitoring the Trump administration’s implementation of Project 2025, tracking the authoritarian blueprint’s executive action proposals across 20 federal agencies. The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 is the conservative movement’s blueprint for weakening our government and building an authoritarian presidency. To monitor the Trump administration’s regulatory and other administrative actions toward that goal, and in partnership with Governing for Impact, we’re tracking Project 2025’s executive action proposals across 20 federal agencies. These actions will have devastating consequences for workers, the environment, public health, and the rights of millions of Americans.
To start, we have compiled a list of all the executive branch policies proposed in Project 2025 (with a focus on domestic policy), available here. Over the next four years, we’ll continue tracking how the Trump administration is implementing Project 2025 on a periodic basis and update the resource accordingly. More immediately, we’ll be tracking Project 2025’s rollbacks of key environmental, climate, and public safety policies in closer to real-time, available in the embedded tracker below. The tracker — which breaks out the domestic executive action proposals included in the 900-page blueprint — will be updated by GFI’s and the Center’s teams of regulatory lawyers as the Trump administration takes... Developed by the Heritage Foundation, Project 2025 provides a roadmap for the incoming administration to consolidate power in the presidency so that it can force through an ultra-right-wing agenda. You can help. As a candidate for president, Donald Trump repeatedly denied any knowledge of or full support for the Project 2025 agenda. As president, however, Trump and his team are now warmly embracing its recommendations and including them in early executive orders. Trump has also nominated several Project 2025 contributors to key positions in his administration, including key architect Russell Vought. Vought leads the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), a role he played during Trump 1.0.
