playoff chaos guaranteed nfl unveils week 18 slate with ravens

The final week of the NFL regular season is here, and it should be a wild one. Heading into Week 18, there are only two playoff spots up for grabs, but there should still be plenty of drama. With just 16 games left on the schedule, there are still four divisions that have yet to be clinched, and let's not forget that only one seed has been clinched. (The Packers are locked into the seventh spot.) By the end of Sunday night, everything will be sorted out, and with that in mind, let's take a look at the clinching scenarios for each team. The Broncos have already clinched the AFC West, and they can clinch the No.

Arizona Cardinals (3-13) 16. New York Giants (3-13) The final week of the NFL regular season is upon us. Almost all playoff spots have been clinched. 1 seed in the NFC. The final game of the regular season features the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers in a win-or-go home matchup. Playoff positions and teams will be determined by the end of Jan. 4. The roadmap to Santa Clara will be set. USA TODAY Sports provides the early predictions for Week 18:

Ravens running back Derrick Henry rushed for 216 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday night against the Packers. Michael Reaves / Getty Images The final two playoff spots could come down to a pair of Week 18 elimination games between division rivals. In the AFC North, the Baltimore Ravens beat the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night and got the help they needed from the Pittsburgh Steelers, who fell to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, to... Now, the Ravens (8-8) and Steelers (9-7) will square off in Pittsburgh on “Sunday Night Football” to determine who will advance to the playoffs as the AFC North champions and who will start their... In the NFC South, a somewhat similar showdown has materialized, as the Carolina Panthers couldn’t take advantage of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Carolina fell to the Seattle Seahawks to set up a potential winner-take-all clash in Week 18. The Panthers (8-8) will travel to Tampa Bay to take on the 7-9 Bucs in a Saturday game that may send one team to the postseason as the No. 4 seed and another team home for the winter. The only way this doesn’t become a loser-goes-home game is if the Atlanta Falcons beat the New Orleans Saints on Sunday; in that case, the Panthers would claim the division title regardless of the... Tampa Bay. Meanwhile, in the quest for the No.

1 seeds, the Denver Broncos are one win away from locking up the first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs, while the NFC’s top seed will come down to a Saturday night... the Seattle Seahawks. Let’s take a look at what else happened around the NFL in Week 17: The playoff picture in two NFL divisions has not become any clearer due to three losses and a pivotal win. Now, the final week of the regular season will feature games deciding both the AFC North and NFC South. Four teams entered Week 17 with a chance to make some big moves by winning.

Only one achieved this feat. The Baltimore Ravens went into Lambeau Field and beat up on the Green Bay Packers despite having a backup quarterback in charge of the offense. Running back Derrick Henry led the way with 216 rushing yards and four touchdowns. This win put the Ravens one game back of the rival Steelers, who just needed to avoid an upset loss to the 3-12 Browns to remain in control of the AFC North. Well, the Steelers failed to accomplish this. The team, which did not have DK Metcalf due to a suspension for striking a fan, lost 13-6.

AFC North title showdown, Week 18: #Ravens vs #Steelers pic.twitter.com/pa9cvLyeyY The NFC South can only be decided on Saturday if Carolina beats Tampa Bay. Atlanta’s 27-24 victory over the Rams on Monday night means the Panthers-Buccaneers matchup isn’t quite winner-take-all. If Carolina wins, the Panthers (8-8) would secure the division title. If the Buccaneers (7-9) win, they will clinch their fifth straight division crown only if the Falcons lose or tie the Saints on Sunday.
