Based on what he’s hearing from sources, he adjusted his picks accordingly. Some may surprise you as you read through his entire predicted first round. Not only that, Schrager projected two trades within the first round. Without further ado, let’s dive into this mock draft as we are just one day away from the first round.

First things first, no surprises with the top selection. Schrager is with the rest of the mock draft predictions as he puts Ward as the top pick. Get ready Titans fans, Ward is the new franchise star. Ward consistently got better throughout college and starred during his lone season at Miami. At this point, we just want to see Ward in Nashville. We're officially single-digit days away from the 2024 NFL Draft (April 25-27 in Detroit).

Time to take my first crack at mocking the first round. REMINDER: As always, this isn't what I would do -- it's what I'm hearing from my sources around the league. As I've reported, the Bears had a great meeting with Caleb at the NFL Scouting Combine, followed by a pair of enjoyable dinners in Los Angeles (before USC's pro day) and Chicago (before the... Peter Schrager moved from NFL Network to ESPN earlier this month and made some interesting decisions in his latest mock. Unsurprisingly, Schrags has Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, and Abdul Carter as his first three selections.

Tennessee is a lock to take Ward first overall, despite them not publicly saying it. Hunter and Carter, in whatever order, are the consensus next two picks. The Browns would get a quality player if they take Carter, but Hunter’s offensive impact should lead Cleveland to add the Colorado product. Jeanty has appeared anywhere from New England at No. 4 to Dallas at No. 12 during mock draft season, but rarely has he gone to the Jaguars.

Schrager reasons that GM James Gladstone won’t be afraid to make a splash, and head coach Liam Coen wants playmakers. The logic makes sense, but where would Jeanty fit with Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby? Schrager’s first trade has Indianapolis trading up with the Chicago Bears. Indy swaps first-round picks and gives Chicago No. 80 to select Michigan tight end Colston Loveland. This would complete the arsenal for whoever starts at quarterback for the Colts.

The price isn’t too high for a premier pass-catching tight end, and with Tyler Warren already off the board, it’s likely multiple teams would move up for Loveland. Schrager has the Michigan product falling to Miami at No. 13, and this feels like his first reach. Graham is considered one of the few blue-chip prospects in this year’s class and has been a top-five pick throughout mock draft season. The Dolphins should sprint the draft card to the podium if Graham lasts this long.
