The 2025 NFL Draft is now less than two weeks away, folks. As we get closer to the big day, the picture is starting to come into focus as the top prospects schedule meetings with interested teams. Like always, much of the attention will focus on the quarterbacks. While the 2025 quarterback class isn't considered to be loaded with talent, we've seen the lengths that quarterback-needy teams will go to to land a passer. Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders are widely considered to be the top options at the position, but even Jaxson Dart and Jalen Milroe have gotten some first-round buzz of late. We know quarterbacks will go in the first round, and we also know some trades will be completed.

Today, we're going to do a full first-round mock draft that features a few trades and a few unique selections. 1. Tennessee Titans - Cam Ward, QB, Miami Draft day never goes how we think it will. I can't imagine anyone has ever gotten a 32-pick mock draft perfectly correct. And with that in mind, let's try to buck some of the trends emerging in Mock Draft World.

It's not a great draft for quarterbacks, which is why — in this mock — we'll see a shocking number go in Round 1. It's an incredible draft for running backs, which is why we'll see an astonishingly sparse number go in Round 1. No one wants to trade up to fourth overall, supposedly. Well, what if someone did?

That's the idea. Let's reverse what we think we know about what's going to happen on Thursday, because the typical simulations rarely prove predictive. There's no doubt Ward is going first overall. But what if he didn't go to the Titans? What if the Giants put next year's first-rounder on the table along with a package of picks from this year's class? The Titans just might bite.

New York did deep due diligence on this quarterback class, perhaps because the team isn't happy with the options beyond Ward. With his physical tools, Ward offers potential that others do not. And it's not like the Russell Wilson contract will stand in the way. His guaranteed money is comparable to a high-end backup. Even his bonus money is team-friendly. Quarterbacks will undoubtedly receive the lion's share of coverage in the 2025 NFL Draft, but I suspect the event's first two days will be dominated by stars who play in the trenches.

In this three-round mock draft, I project 15 of the 32 first-round picks will be linemen. In fact, I'm predicting 45 linemen will be picked in the draft's first 101 selections. I also forecast five trades in the first round, the same number of swaps that we saw on draft day last year. There are five compensatory picks projected at the end of the third round. The first two are awarded to teams for losing 2024 free agents, as projected by Over the Cap. The final three reflect the projected compensation gained from teams hiring minority candidates away from the 49ers, Rams and Lions for head coach/general manager openings.

Carter displays elite athleticism and quickness off the edge. He generates pressure with an explosive burst and relentless pursuit. He’s a Brian Burns clone, staying fluid while developing an increasingly impressive variety of pass-rush moves. This pick won’t fix everything in Round 1, but it gives Tennessee a defensive cornerstone for years to come.

It’s becoming increasingly likely that they take their QB of the future in Cam Ward. The NFL draft is about three weeks away, meaning prospect scouting is just about concluded after some intriguing pro days. Some players are set in stone on the general range experts believe they will land, while other players are still gliding around draft boards. With even more rumors swirling about certain players, mock drafts are only getting harder and requiring more critical thinking on what all the rumors are indicating. That means making a mock draft that feels right is only getting more difficult.
