nfl draft big board top 100 prospects in 2025 class

Here are my top 100 players in the 2025 NFL Draft The tape has been watched, 40 yard dashes have been run, and interviews are complete. We have a few days left until the 2025 NFL Draft, and at this point the hay is in the barn. This draft class has been a really fun one to scout, even without having too many superstars in the class. In my opinion, there are only three surefire blue-chip talents in this draft: Colorado WR/DB Travis Hunter, Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty and Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter. I think there are some very good prospects behind them, but those three guys are capable of making an instant impact for any NFL franchise.

After that, it gets a bit murky. Most of the guys at the top all have their respective question marks--production (Texas A&M EDGE Shemar Stewart), measurables (LSU OT Will Campbell) or off-field concerns (Marshall EDGE Mike Green). But that’s what makes this class interesting-- trying to parse through it all to see which players will be quality ones in the league. With that being said, here is my top 100 players in the 2025 NFL Draft class. It may not be the quarterback class we'd hoped for, but it still looks like a step up from last year. After that, though, there aren't a ton of position groups I'd call "loaded" relative to recent expectations.

It's part of why we've already seen so many teams feel comfortable unloading their first-rounders. That doesn't mean there isn't talent to be had, however. It simply means scouts are going to have to work overtime to parse through a less clear-cut draft order than we've seen in recent years. If you're looking for position groups with quality depth -- even if they aren't traditionally drafted highly -- interior offensive line and linebacker are where I'd start. There are 13 interior offensive linemen and nine linebackers represented in the top 100 below, both large numbers compared to the typical yearly crop that goes in the top three rounds. With that context in mind, let's dive into how the class stacks up in early November.

Bain is putting together the best season for a defensive end at the collegiate level since Aidan Hutchinson. Like Hutchinson, Bain isn't a cookie-cutter edge prospect. The Hurricanes defender has a defensive tackle build with shorter arms than ideal on the edge. It's no matter -- he already has 44 pressures this season. Woods has been on scouting radars since he was a true freshman. He's as powerful a true junior defensive tackle as you'll see and won't turn 21 until a month before the draft.

He'll be even more disruptive in the pros than he is in Clemson's defense. This final update to the Football Scout 365 Top 100 Big Board features a tiered ranking system built around our proprietary grading scale. Players are categorized into tiers — Elite, Near Elite, High-End Starter, Mid-Level Starter, and Low-Level Starter Potential — to reflect more than just rank. Each tier captures a player's projected ceiling, scheme fit, and expected NFL impact based on film, traits, and positional value. This year’s class is defensively dominant, particularly in the front seven. Of the 100 total prospects, 32 are defensive linemen, edge rushers, or linebackers — a clear indication that front-seven talent headlines the 2025 NFL Draft.

A disruptive interior force with elite pad level, violent hands, and short-area quickness. He projects as a Day 1 impact starter in a 4-3 or 3-4 front. Explosive off the edge with rare twitch, bend, and violence. A scheme-versatile playmaker with All-Pro upside as a 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE. The ultimate two-way weapon. He could be WR1 or CB1 depending on team fit.

Until a team declares a position, he remains ATH1 — and the most dynamic talent in this class. The 2025 NFL Draft is nearly here! PFSN has put together our top 100 NFL Draft Prospect Big Board rankings to highlight where we think each prospect should end up being selected. In an impressive class with questions at some of the most important positions like quarterback, where teams rank these players could be anyone’s guess. Abdul Carter is the top-ranked prospect on PFN’s board, and a blue-chip EDGE talent in the 2025 NFL Draft. It’s an impressive feat, considering that 2024 was his first season playing EDGE full-time.

As one might expect, being a young EDGE at just 6’3″, 250 pounds, Carter still has room to improve his run defense, and he’s never going to be immovable against combos and duo blocks. But as a pass-rusher and pursuit threat, Carter has a kind of instant explosiveness and closing speed that’s near-impossible to replicate, and he builds upon that generational burst with speed-to-power, wicked bend capacity, and... Additionally, his off-ball background gives him the versatility to rush gaps, disguise blitzes, and drop in coverage. At his peak, he can be an absolute game-wrecker. Cam Ward is the QB1 of the 2025 NFL Draft. He’s been productive for a long time, but he realized his full potential in his lone year at Miami.

Blue-chip QB prospects usually have the raw talent to set themselves apart. That’s where Ward earns his stripes. He’s a deadly creative presence under center, with truly uncommon arm elasticity, weaponized by his change-of-direction, improvisational feel, and budding football IQ. With his ball handling and smooth distribution style, he can command the quick game, and with his playmaking propensity, he can make big-time throws in adverse situations. It’s tough to pin down a pro comparison for Ward, but if he can continue to hone his gunslinger predisposition for maximum efficiency and lower volatility, he could grow to be mentioned in the... by William Herman | Apr 6, 2025 | Football, Headlines, NFL, NFL Draft

In less than 25 days, teams will be selecting their next class of rookies in Green Bay. All 32 teams are starting to wrap up their scouting meetings and solidify their initial draft boards, while also identifying players they could realistically draft or move up to secure, if necessary. This board serves as how I see the class now that the scouting combine is done, along with the all-star games, visits, and pro days all wrapping up. We finally have a clear look at this group, so here is my top 100. I will say, this class especially has so many players with similar grades, making it one of the toughest boards to sort out in recent years.

Part of my mock draft preamble explains it is an attempt at figuring out the best players available in this season’s draft class, and which teams they’d match up well with considering the draft... The closer we get to draft day, the more I attempt to match what teams will actually do with their draft picks as opposed to what I believe they should do. Last season, I was the third-most accurate NFL draft prognosticator in print, according to The Huddle Report. I’m tied for fifth overall (out of 172) over the past five years. My big board is an attempt to discern who the best players in this draft class actually are. I’ve only submitted my top-100 the past three years, but I’m in the top 20 over that timeframe.

Official scoring is averaged over five years. Here’s my final 2025 NFL Draft Big Board (top 100 prospects): 11. James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee, Jr. Read Dane Brugler’s 2025 ‘The Beast’ NFL Draft guide. In the last few weeks before the NFL scouting combine, teams conduct scouting meetings to have healthy debates on prospects and build initial draft boards.

Their rankings won’t be set in stone as the 2025 NFL Draft process continues to play out, but they establish a foundation going into the combine later this month. Similarly, our board will have some fluctuation before the draft arrives in April, but this updated top 100 provides a frame of reference as the final draft picture comes into focus. Hunter ranked No. 1 on my November draft board, and nothing has changed over the last few months. He doesn’t have the top spot just because he can play both ways — that is more of a bonus. His athleticism, length and ball instincts are why he's here, and those traits give him a sky-high ceiling at cornerback.

When discussing potential fantasy rookies, draft capital gets thrown around as an important factor. If NFL teams are high on a player, they will be drafted highly. If not, they fall in the draft. Pretty simple. But, the context of the NFL Draft class as a whole is often left out of the discussion. What if RBs or WRs fall in the draft because the EDGE and CB classes are stronger?

This can lead to even Day 3 players being worthwhile fantasy picks. There have been a few changes since I released my position ranking updates, as the Senior Bowl has passed and I’ve had more time to continue to evaluate these prospects. For in-depth scouting reports on these players, check out the individual position ranking articles. For each player in my top 10 at a position, I did an extensive write-up, discussing their history and analyzing their film. As always, stay tuned for more draft coverage, as the Combine is just around the corner.

You can see my summer top 50 big board below, as well as my updated position top-10s. Legitimate two-way prospect and generational talent. The best running back prospect since at least Bijan Robinson and maybe even Saquon Barkley.
