The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) is an American television network owned by Comcast through its media subsidiary NBCUniversal. Originally founded on May 19, 1926 as a radio network, its television network launched on April 30, 1939. It is the oldest broadcasting network in the United States. NBC, founded as a subsidiary of General Electric, debuted as a radio network on November 15, 1926. This logo was used on NBC's print materials during 1942-43.[1] The lightning on the left side represented NBC's radio network, and the waves on the right side represented its television network.

Lightning bolts were also a key part of corporate parent RCA's emblem, as well as that of one-time sister company RKO Radio Pictures. Despite being replaced by the 1946 and 1952 logos, this was used to identify the company as late as 1952,[2] and was used as the NBC Radio Network logo until 1953. The emblem evokes joy, good mood, and fun. The company’s programs attract people with completely different interests. The NBC logo is an example of diversity and coverage of various issues. NBC (National Broadcasting Company) is an English-language broadcasting and television network.

It is a commercial entity of NBCUniversal, a Comcast subsidiary. Its appearance is considered in 1926 when terrestrial radio was launched. Now, the service forms one of the Big Three television networks in the United States and has headquarters and large offices in other cities. The base station is in New York, and two more are in Chicago and near Los Angeles. The broadcasting service was founded by RCA (Radio Corporation of America) jointly with its parent company, GE (General Electric). However, due to antitrust charges, GE was forced to sell both organizations (RCA and NBC) in 1932.

Many years later, she regained control of the National Broadcasting Company, buying the Radio Corporation of America in 1986 for $6.4 billion. Management eliminated nearly all of RCA’s departments while retaining NBC and its unique logo. The history of NBC logos can be roughly divided into two eras: before and after the peacock. In recent years, the bird emblem has evolved markedly, moving from a detailed illustration to an image of multicolored feathers that represent subdivisions of a large media network. But why the peacock? The National Broadcasting Company began using color television technology in 1953, well before its competitors.

And in 1956, she got the earliest badge with the image of a bright peacock. Contrary to misconceptions, this was not an official logo but an element of on-air identification that was supposed to make people buy color TVs. .mw-parser-output .creditsbutton{background:#0C62DA;background:#0c62da;padding:5px;border-radius:5px!important;color:white;font-size:12pt;height:30px;padding-top:0px!important}.mw-parser-output .creditsbutton:hover{background:#C3DCFF;background:#C3DCFF;color:#161f2b}.mw-parser-output .dropdown{position:relative;display:inline-block}.mw-parser-output .dropdown-content{display:none;position:absolute;background-color:#f1f1f1;min-width:160px;z-index:1;padding:10px;max-height:500px;overflow:scroll;font-size:12pt}@media screen and (min-width:930px){.mw-parser-output .dropdown-content{right:0px!important}}.mw-parser-output .dropdown-content a{color:black;padding:12px 16px;text-decoration:none;display:block}.mw-parser-output .dropdown-content a:hover{background-color:#ddd}.mw-parser-output .dropdown:hover .dropdown-content{display:block}.mw-parser-output .dropdown:hover .dropbtn{background-color:#f1f1f1;color:#161f2b} NBCUniversal (formerly NBC Universal) was first formed on May 11, 2004 by the merger of General Electric's NBC and the entertainment division of Vivendi Universal. The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) has used several corporate logos over the course of its history. The first logo was used in 1926 when the radio network began operations. Its most famous logo, the peacock, was first used in 1956 to highlight the network's color programming. While it has been in use in one form or another for all but four years since then, the peacock did not become part of NBC's main logo until 1979 and did not universally...
