Mike Parson’s deployment of Missouri National Guardsmen and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers to the Southern U.S. border. The funding bill totals roughly $2.2 million, which will fund the assignment which will involve roughly 200 guardsmen and 22 MSHP troopers. While a handful of Democrats voted against the bill, citing concerns about state resources being sacrificed to fund a mission out-of-state.

Others pointed to the 250 Missouri National Guardsmen who have been working the Southern Border since October under orders from the federal government.
