The ACLU said in their statement, "Governor Kehoe's decision to activate Missouri's National Guard serves as an unnecessary provocation to thwart public dissent. The ACLU is urging those who plan to attend a protest to know their rights around protests and police interactions. They also ask attendees to "prioritize de-escalation, even in moments of governmental provocation and fear-mongering, and to lookout for one another."
A “No Kings” protest is planned for Saturday morning at historic city hall in Springfield, and they'll also be part of the Ozarks Pridefest parade.
