Both apps excel at being an easy way to track what you’re watching but while Letterbox is (mostly) all about the movies, Marathon is strictly about what you’re watching on the small screen. I can also easily review episodes, seasons and even entire TV series for anyone who is following me to read. I stick to just reviewing the episodes, but you can truly review just about anything on TV in the Marathon app. With so much to watch across so many streaming services, it’s entirely too easy to lose track of everything. That’s where an app called Trakt comes in. Trakt can tell you where to watch pretty much any streaming show or movie, but it can also remember how much of a series you’ve watched and keep you in the loop on new... While Trakt has been around since 2010, it recently added a way to automatically track what you’re watching across a half-dozen major streaming services.

It’s a key differentiator from other streaming guide apps, such as Reelgood and JustWatch, whose show-tracking features require you to manage your watch history manually. App. I LOVE lists of any type, so to be able to track all of my shows and now movies I’ve watched is amazing! I especially love the social aspect of the app, being able to read and comment on each episode and share theories or thoughts with other people who watch the same shows as you. I highly recommend this app!However, in the last week or two alone (never had this problem before) 3 different series I’ve watched haven’t been on the app :( Now, at least two of those... I saw that you can create an account on some website and submit a request or add it yourself because that’s where they sync their data from, but honestly the website seemed nightmarish to... I’m not sure if the app is just not being synced super often or what, but I would love for an easier way to submit a show request WITHIN the tv time app itself.

I’ve been using this app for several years and while it’s great at telling you what is next on your list to watch, it’s really obviously best for active power watchers of TV, keeping... I used to watch a lot more than I do now, and as I watch less and less over the years, it has become very cumbersome to navigate the app to find what I... If I want to find something new to watch, I basically already need to know what it is and pull it up with the search function otherwise I’ll be scrolling and hunting a while,... The suggestions it gives for what to watch are the most absolute generic and probably aren’t useful for most people, no personalized algorithm running in the background based on what you’ve already watched. One very useful feature they could have is to search for shows specific to the different streaming services.

That metadata is obviously there, it says it right next to any show you look at, yet there’s no way to filter content by that data. I only have one service now, so knowing, say, what is the most popular or highly rated show on that service would be very useful. This app actually became even less useful when they added movies to it. I feel like development has gone downhill ever since and became more buggy. At some point I may switch to a better app, but right now they got me since it’s basically just a logbook for me. A logbook that really could be made much more useful.
