The Fort Worth protest filled Burk Burnett Park in downtown for more than three hours with boisterous chants of “this is what democracy looks like” and T-shirts slogans like “Mexicans make America great.” Across North Texas, the visible presence of police was minimal, as were the number of counter-protesters. While some demonstrators were treated for heat-related illness, there were no immediate reports of injuries, violence or arrests by late afternoon.
