Gumloop Raises 17 Million In Series A The Saas News
Gumloop, a Vancouver, Canada-based startup specializing in AI-powered workflow automation, has secured $17 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and angel investors, including Max Mullen (Instacart), Shaan Puri, Bryant Chou (Webflow), and Reynold Xin (Databricks). Nexus Venture Partners, a venture capital firm managing $2.6 billion across its funds, focuses on helping founders build product-centric companies. Based in Menlo Park, California, the firm primarily invests in seed and early-stage startups. This funding will enable Gumloop to build and scale its product more rapidly. Gumloop is a no-code AI automation platform that empowers anyone, regardless of technical expertise, to create automation for their business.
The platform is designed with nontechnical users in mind, allowing them to create and customize workflows by simply dragging and dropping modular components. We're excited to start the next phase of Gumloop's growth with a $17m Series A led by Nexus Venture Partners with participation from First Round Capital, Y Combinator, angels like Max Mullen (Instacart), Shaan... We've raised a total of $20 million now. Raising money isn't the goal — building a product people love is. This new capital is just to help us build that product even faster. We started the company in a bedroom in Vancouver, Canada 574 days ago as a side project.
We were trying to solve a very simple problem for a group of people in a Discord server who weren’t highly technical, and it spiralled into something larger than we ever imagined. We focused on keeping the team small and iterating as fast as humanly possible on the product while talking to users. We technically raised this Series A as a team of 2 founders without hiring anyone full time (we did have 2 awesome interns for a while and 2 other exceptional contractors). We'll be growing headcount but we aim to keep this disproportionately large throughput per employee going moving forward. Access verified contacts, investors & buying signals. Gumloop is a sick product. And it's growing super fast. Congrats to @MaxBrodeurUrbas and the team on the Series A! Two ex-Big Tech developers, Max Brodeur-Urbas and Rahul Behal, founded Gumloop, a startup aimed at using AI to automate repetitive business workflows reliably and affordably. Frustrated by the limitations and costs of existing AI automation tools, they focused on narrower, high-value applications where precision is critical. Gumloop started as a side project to help nontechnical Discord users but quickly grew into a platform now used by teams at Instacart and Rippling.
With a drag-and-drop workflow builder integrating tools like GitHub, Gmail, and Outlook, Gumloop empowers users to create automations without technical expertise. After raising $17 million in a Series A round, the company plans to maintain a lean 10-person team while scaling its product, with aspirations of becoming a billion-dollar enterprise.
