The Georgetown University Law Center is the law school of Georgetown University in the Capitol Hill district of Washington, D.C. Established in 1870, it is the second largest law school in the United States[1] and receives more full-time applications than any other law school in the country.[2] The oldest Jesuit law school in the United States,[3] Georgetown Law is one of the "T14" law schools, that is, schools that have consistently ranked within the top 14 law schools since U.S. News & World Report began publishing rankings. Although it has notably produced many prominent public officials, the school's alumni have entered a diverse array of fields and legal disciplines. Georgetown University is a private research university located in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1789, Georgetown University is the oldest Catholic and Jesuit institution of higher education in the United States. The school graduates about two thousand undergraduate and postgraduate students annually.
