There are many circumstances that can make shopping or preparing food difficult for older adults. That’s where Meals on Wheels comes in. Sound Generations’ Meals on Wheels program provides well-balanced, nutritious, ready-to-eat meals each week, offering essential support to older adults and their caregivers. With home delivery and specialized options like vegetarian and kosher meals, our program provides seniors with a reliable, convenient way to maintain their independence and enjoy a healthy diet. Our program accepts King County, WA residents aged 60 or more, who have difficulty shopping or cooking. We have a suggested donation of $6 per meal.
If you live outside of King County, find a Meals on Wheels program near you. Participants may order 7 meals per week. Cases of liquid supplements, like Ensure and Glucerna, are available for purchase. Eligible participants in King County can expect their meals to be delivered once per week by a friendly driver. Yes, the meals arrive conveniently frozen and packaged in trays to be heated in a microwave or conventional oven. Meals are made on-site, from scratch, using whole food ingredients. We support people’s overall health by focusing on the importance of nutrition as part of someone’s care. Food and nutrition can reduce the symptoms and daily impact of many illnesses, minimize medication side effects, and provide comfort when it is needed most. We prepare and deliver medically tailored meals and groceries to low-income and underserved people in King County, WA. Our goal is to increase food security among our most vulnerable neighbors and support the long-term health of individuals who are disproportionately impacted by nutrition-related diseases.

Click Here to see the Meal Site Locations Catholic Community Services Home Delivered Meals Program offers frozen home delivered meals for older persons who are unable to leave their home to shop and find it hard to prepare nutritious meals. The meals are prepared with the special dietary needs of seniors in mind. All meals are certified by a Registered Dietitian to meet one-third of the RDA. After discussing your needs we can determine your delivery day, mail you a menu and get your meals started. You can look forward to a reliable friendly driver visiting you once a week with your meals.

The Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) provides USDA Foods to income-eligible households living on Indian reservations and to Native American households residing in designated areas near reservations or in Oklahoma.
