While it feels great to make the right call and cruise to fantasy glory, it hurts just as much when you have someone erupt while on your bench. Let’s take a look at a few polarizing players and what fantasy football expert Derek Brown advises. And you can find all of DBro’s fantasy football outlook in this week’s fantasy football primer. Since Week 6, Flacco has been the QB1 in fantasy points per game. During that stretch, among 40 qualifying quarterbacks, he has ranked first in passing yards per game, 19th in yards per attempt, fifth in highly accurate throw rate, ninth in catchable target rate, and 16th... Flacco should post another nice stat line this week. Since Week 6, Pittsburgh has allowed the most passing yards per game, the 11th-most passing touchdowns, the 11th-highest adjusted completion rate, and ranked 18th in success rate per dropback.

Baker Mayfield is the QB13 in fantasy points per game. The injuries to the Bucs receiver room have hurt his fantasy stock, but he still has five QB1 outings in his last seven games. Among 42 qualifying passers, Mayfield ranks 13th in passing yards per game, 22nd in yards per attempt, 11th in passing touchdowns (tied), 20th in highly accurate throw rate, and eighth in hero throw rate. Mayfield could produce fringe QB1 numbers this week, but it won’t be easy. Since Week 6, Buffalo has allowed the 12th-fewest passing yards per game, the seventh-lowest passer rating, the fifth-lowest CPOE, and the tenth-lowest success rate per dropback. Jared Goff is the QB14 in fantasy points per game with two QB1 outings this season.

While it hasn’t translated consistently to fantasy success, Goff has had an outstanding season so far. Among 42 qualifying passers, he ranks fifth in yards per attempt, 12th in passing yards per game, seventh in highly accurate throw rate, and second in catchable target rate. Goff will face a Philly pass defense that since Week 6, has held passers to the 13th-lowest yards per attempt, the 14th-lowest passing yards per game, the lowest passing touchdowns, and has ranked 15th... It would be a bleak matchup, BUT Philly also has a rusted patch of their armor that Goff can strike and reach the heart of their pass defense. Philly has allowed the seventh-highest yards per attempt, the 11th-most passing yards per game, and the 11th-highest passer rating to play action passing. Overall, Goff has utilized play-action at the sixth-highest rate (30.1%), but last week with Dan Campbell taking over the play call sheet they bumped that up to 51.5%.

Play-action could carry Goff to another strong game against a formidable opponent. Jaxson Dart is in the concussion protocol, and he could be out in Week 11 at Green Bay. If Dart can't play then the Giants plan to start Jameis Winston, who should be considered a sleeper in all leagues. Winston hasn't played this season for the Giants, but he was great -- at times -- for Fantasy managers in 2024 with the Browns. He started seven games in Cleveland last year and scored at least 19.3 Fantasy points in four of those outings. But he also had three games with 13.5 points or less.

If you haven't experienced the Winston roller coaster, get ready, because it's a wild ride. He's capable of throwing for 300-plus yards and multiple touchdowns, which happened three times last season. But he also finished those seven games with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, and turnovers will definitely be an issue. This isn't an easy matchup against the Packers, who are No. 11 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. But four of the past six quarterbacks against Green Bay have scored at least 20.8 Fantasy points, and Winston is capable of finishing in that range.

There are several great sleepers at quarterback in Week 11, which you'll read about here, so you don't need to rely on Winston. But he's fun to root for, and he could be a surprise top-10 quarterback this week if he starts in place of Dart. After several weeks of four-plus teams being on bye, fantasy football managers will be granted a brief reprieve. Just two teams will be on bye in Week 11 of the 2025 NFL season, giving fantasy footballers and near-full slate of options to choose from at quarterback. The better news? Only one of the starting quarterbacks of the teams on bye – the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints – is rostered in a plurality of Yahoo fantasy leagues, Daniel Jones.

That's a far cry from last week's slate, which saw high-end, high-volume passers Patrick Mahomes, Dak Prescott and Joe Flacco out of action. Still, some fantasy managers will be looking for replacements for Jones or another streaming option to replace some "sit 'em" candidates in bad matchups. Who can you trust at quarterback in Week 11? Our crew at USA TODAY Sports breaks down the quarterbacks to start and sit as the fantasy football regular season enters its stretch run. The Commanders have struggled immensely to contain the pass in recent weeks, allowing at least 250 passing yards and three passing touchdowns in each of their last four games. Their ability to do so doesn't figure to improve after they lost starting cornerbacks Marshon Lattimore (torn ACL) and Trey Amos (broken fibula) to long-term injuries.

You have lineup questions, we have lineup answers -- at least we hope so. Start 'Em, Sit 'Em is here to help fantasy managers make difficult roster decisions. And you know what is a good move? Starting Christian McCaffrey. But that's too obvious, so you won't see such simple analysis here. Instead, we're exploring more debatable situations.

NOTE: Unless otherwise indicated, all stats come from NFL Pro, Next Gen Stats or NFL Research. Simply put, Flacco has been a fantasy beast since joining the Bengals, averaging 24.9 fantasy PPG. In fact, he led the NFL in passing yards per game and touchdown passes in Weeks 6-9, showing a safe floor and very high ceiling. Against the Steelers in Week 7, he threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns, going for 26 fantasy points. On the season, Pittsburgh has allowed the second-most passing yards and seventh-most fantasy PPG to QBs.

Herbert delivered a floor game last week despite a favorable matchup on paper due to working behind a banged-up offensive line. He's worth another shot this weekend with another advantageous matchup against the Jaguars. They have allowed the fourth-most touchdown passes and fifth-most fantasy PPG to quarterbacks this season. Perhaps even more important, Jacksonville has generated sacks at the lowest rate in the NFL. That keeps Herbert in play. Love has had two consecutive extremely poor fantasy outings -- like, single-digit performances.

He has shown a low floor but can be a high-ceiling option. Tune out the last two weeks, and look at his 26-plus fantasy points against the Cowboys and Steelers. He has a favorable matchup against the Giants, who have allowed the fourth-most passing yards and fantasy PPG to QBs. They also struggle to defend the deep ball and generate pressure and sacks at below-average rates. This is a recipe for success for Love. Justin Herbert at Jaguars (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Herbert failed to meet expectations last week against the Steelers, scoring just 14.7 points. Still, he had put up 18-plus points in his four previous games, and I’d keep Herbert in lineups against the Jaguars. Their defense has given up 17-plus fantasy points to seven different quarterbacks, including four who have posted at least 26 points. Start Herbert this week. Dak Prescott at Raiders (Mon.

8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN): Prescott hit the skids in his last two games, scoring a combined 23 points with three interceptions. Still, I like him against the Raiders in a game that opened at a lofty 50.5 on DraftKings. The Silver & Black have allowed five quarterbacks to score 17-plus fantasy points since Week 2, and two have beaten them for 21-plus points in their last three games. Jordan Love at Giants (1 p.m. ET, Fox): Love hasn’t been the most reliable quarterback in fantasy football, but it’s tough not to like this week’s matchup against the Giants.
