The Cleveland Browns were far more inactive than many expected them to be as the 2025 NFL trade deadline passed. Unlike the New York Jets, who they face in Week 10, the Browns made a small move at the deadline after making multiple moves earlier in the season. Cleveland heads into Week 10 of the NFL season with their two first-round picks next year slotted in the sixth and 19th spots in the current order. The Browns have 10 draft picks in the 2026 NFL draft, with the possibility of one more as a part of the compensatory pick process, and eight scheduled for the 2027 NFL draft. The offense is the big concern in Cleveland with OC Tommy Rees taking over playcalling duties starting this week against the Jets. There are a couple of building blocks with RB Quinshon Judkins and TE Harold Fannin Jr., but everything else is up in the air on that side of the ball.

The following are picks from recent NFL mock drafts for the Cleveland Browns: Perhaps a perfect fit to play in Cleveland and the rough-and-tumble AFC North, Allar has prototypical size and the arm strength to make all the throws anywhere on the field. Continued development by the former five-star recruit from Medina (OH) could catapult him to the top of the draft board and under center for his hometown team. USA Today - Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz Complications with Deshaun Watson’s recovery from an Achilles injury have seemingly opened the door for the Cleveland Browns to consider selecting a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, that’s just one of several key concerns for Cleveland, as holes remain on both sides of the ball. With limited flexibility in free agency, the Browns will likely rely on their draft capital to address multiple needs, including offensive tackle, cornerback and wide receiver. Ward has all the physical tools to succeed as an NFL quarterback and thrives on deep throws.
His 29 big-time throws on passes of 20-plus yards in 2024 ranked second in the nation, as did his 131.5 NFL passer rating on those attempts. While not a first-round-caliber athlete, Amos has the size and physicality to thrive at the next level as a man coverage corner. His ball production was elite in 2024, as he tallied three interceptions and an impressive 15 forced incompletions for Ole Miss. Neal is a versatile back who excels as both a runner and receiver. Over the past two seasons at Kansas, he forced a combined 127 missed tackles on runs and receptions. Adam Archuleta and Aditi Kinkhabwala preview the week 11 game between the Chargers and Jaguars on CBS.
Before Saturday, losing at Bryant-Denny Stadium was a feeling unknown to most of Alabama's roster. Only five players who played in the Tide's 23-21 loss to the Sooners also played more than two years ago in Alabama's most recent home loss to Texas. And not a single player is still on the roster from the last time Alabama lost at home to an SEC opponent in 2019. AMES – For the eighth time in the 10 years Matt Campbell has coached Iowa State football, his team is bowl eligible. The Cyclones' 20-17 road win at TCU on Saturday ended a four-game skid and provided Campbell's team with the necessary six wins to play in the postseason. Nebraska football went on the road last week and picked up its seventh win of the year by knocking off UCLA in the Rose Bowl.
The Huskers are on a bye this week, but improved their standing in the Big Ten's bowl pecking order with the win last week over the Bruins. UCLA dutifully played the role of chum for Ohio State in a 48-10 loss in Columbus. The top-ranked Buckeyes controlled the game from the start as they raced out to a 27-0 lead and never really looked back as the second half became garbage time. We've got some quick takeaways from a long night inside the Horseshoe. After a surprising 11-6 run in the 2023 NFL season that saw the Cleveland Browns return to the postseason, they took a massive step back last year, landing back in the basement of the... That mark gave them one of the worst records in the entire league and granted them the second-overall pick in the 2025 draft.
While they didn't actually use that selection, they did take advantage of it, trading down to five with the Jacksonville Jaguars and netting an extra second-rounder and Jacksonville's 2026 first in the process. For a team with a lot of holes on its roster, the Browns need as much draft capital as they can get in the near future. That made the class they ended up coming away with this past spring extra confounding. They got off to a strong start, taking defensive tackle Mason Graham and linebacker Carson Schwesinger with their first two picks. After that, they spent their next five selections on offense: running back Quinshon Judkins (no. 36), tight end Harold Fannin Jr.
(no. 67), quarterback Dillon Gabriel (no. 94), running back Dylan Sampson (no. 126), and quarterback Shedeur Sanders (no. 144). Following Deshaun Watson's re-rupture of his Achilles tendon during rehab last winter, the Cleveland Browns knew they'd have to identify a new starting quarterback for the 2025 NFL season.
They brought in four different candidates to vie for the vacated QB1 spot: free agent Joe Flacco, trade acquisition Kenny Pickett, fifth-round draft pick Dillon Gabriel, and 144th-overall selection Shedeur Sanders. It seems that Head Coach Kevin Stefanski and the Browns staff don't have much confidence in their rookie gunslingers, having named Flacco the Week 1 starter, despite Gabriel and Sanders putting up impressive preseason... However, there's still hope that one of Cleveland's young quarterbacks can overtake Flacco on the depth chart at some point during the campaign.
