The Seattle Human Services Department (HSD) is one of the largest contributors to Seattle's safety net. HSD invests hundreds of millions of dollars in funding to more than 200 community-based organizations and programs that support Seattle’s neighbors and communities each year. The department works closely with our community partners, including other public and nonprofit funders and grantees, to understand human service needs and create and invest in an integrated regional human services system. HSD is working to ensure that the City's resources are directed to our most vulnerable residents and to programs that can best leverage the investments for maximum impact on achieving results and reducing disparities. The City of Seattle Human Services Department (HSD) is pleased to issue its 2025 Notice of Funding Availability_v5 [Updated 9/19/25] related to the following investment:

This notice provides an overview of HSD’s funding opportunities for 2025 with a brief description of the service areas for each opportunity, anticipated funding amounts, release dates, and contract start dates. Once finalized, HSD will issue detailed funding opportunities for each investment. Español Tiếng Việt Soomaali አማርኛ Oromo Tagalog 普通话 The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps families living within Seattle city limits pay for the cost of child care for children 1 month up to their 13th birthday. With this program, you can expect to save an average of $10,000 annually. Above are gross monthly incomes within the range of 60.01%-110% SMI (updated October 29, 2025).

The SMI% is updated annually in October. Prior to applying, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria. Child Care Assistance Program offered by City of Seattle's Department of Education and Early Learning Provides a subsidy of 25 to 70% of the city's average child care cost for eligible parents who are employed or working towards their first degree. CCAP covers partial cost of child care paid directly to the City of Seattle contracted child care home and center providers. Eligible families will be authorized for 12 month vouchers.
