I learned that discipleship really wasn’t that complicated.” We’re trusting God to launch graduates from our college campuses who will live out discipleship and pass it on wherever they go, next door to everywhere. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has awarded a Student Success Acceleration Program Implementation Grant to the Blinn College District. The $180,000 grant is to support the college’s student mentoring program, Blinn Navigators. Navigators is a student-centered program in which volunteer faculty and staff support students in achieving their educational and personal goals. Faculty and staff members who volunteer for the program undergo specialized training that helps them establish mentoring relationships with assigned students.
Then, they connect them to needed college resources, and assist them in creating and implementing a plan for success at Blinn College and beyond.
