2026 Nfl Mock Draft New 2 Round Forecast Headlined By 4 Top 10 Qbs Msn
Believe it or not, we’re already halfway through the 2025 NFL season. That means, with the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday (November 4), we’re fully entering 2026 NFL Draft season. Even though we here at NFL Spin Zone have been in 2026 NFL Draft mode since the Spring, but that’s neither here nor there. Now, we have actual on-field results to react to, and needs are becoming clearer every single week for even some of the best teams in the league. In this 2026 NFL Mock Draft, we’re going to take a look at not only the first round but the first two rounds of the draft and project where some of the top prospects... This 2026 NFL mock draft features a bunch of quarterbacks going within the top 20 picks, and a surprise player jumping all the way into the top two overall.
We’ve got a lot to unpack, so let’s get right to it. There is no question that the New Orleans Saints are on the cusp of anointing a new franchise quarterback. We’ve already seen them bench Spencer Rattler in favor of second-round rookie Tyler Shough, and obviously, that’s the first step toward potentially using next year’s top pick at the position. We’ll see what Shough can do for the rest of this season, but barring something miraculous, the top pick should be a new QB. And Fernando Mendoza has been exactly as advertised this season. One of the hottest risers in the 2026 NFL Draft process right now is Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson, who went from being an intriguing potential Day 2 selection to the betting favorite as the...
There’s obviously plenty of competition for the QB1 distinction at this point in the process, but Simpson has done his part to make a case this season, and the Jets need a fresh start... The Justin Fields investment did not work out. The New York Jets have thrown a curveball at the NFL trade deadline, sending star cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts in return for multiple first-round picks, per multiple reports. Gardner's arrival in Indy gives the Colts an elite shutdown corner in his prime, while the rebuilding Jets get out from under his massive contract as they continue their rebuild under first-year head coach... How could this deal impact the early going of the 2026 NFL Draft for both of these teams, as well as the rest of the league? Here's an updated look at how the first two rounds of next year's draft could turn out, using the latest updated pick order following Week 9 results:
The Saints have the rest of this season to see if Tyler Shough is good enough to be their long-term starter, but if they end up picking this high, that should be a clear... Burning a top-40 pick on a 26-year-old rookie QB was a bad idea from the start, but sunk cost shouldn't keep New Orleans from taking another swing with Mendoza, who has looked like the... Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season saw teams like the New Orleans Saints, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans remain winless. The top needs of those teams will shape the 2026 NFL Draft. With college football approaching Week 6, attention is starting to turn towards top prospects, especially at the quarterback position where a couple of QBs projected near the top of the draft board are starting... It’s getting interesting for sure, and more interesting depending on a decision by one of those QBs who just happen to be part of a legacy family.
Arch Manning’s decision will drive this draft. The last two NFL Mock Drafts we explored the impact of the draft if Manning returns to Texas for another season. But with quarterbacks like Fernando Mendoza, Dante Moore and John Mateer emerging, how will the draft be impacting if Manning does declare? With so many talented quarterbacks available, there is a big possibility some of the top quarterbacks get squeezed out of the first round. It does happen every year, but the storyline of the 2026 NFL Draft, certainly this Week 5 NFL Mock Draft is the number of quarterbacks who don’t go in the first round. It really will depend on how these NFL teams have quarterbacks graded when they select.
In a draft order determined by current record, the New Orleans Saints are on the clock: College football has arrived, and as fans settle into their Saturday routines, they'll do so with an eye... Every clash of collegiate titans will linger into the pre-draft cycle, dominating discourse and shaping how teams approach the offseason. There's plenty of time for stocks to fluctuate and sleepers to emerge, but as the NFL Draft becomes an increasingly popular date on the football calendar, the demand to get to know next season's... Fortunately, it's never too early to forecast the first round. With a class stocked at a handful of high-value positions, opportunities to find meaningful contributors will be plentiful. MORE: Tracking the latest trade rumors surrounding Micah Parsons There's a ton of uncertainty around Manning entering the draft by the January deadline.
Between NIL checks, the chance to build a legacy at Texas and the unforgiving nature of the NFL, it'd be hard to blame him for staying. The college football season is a month old, and from an NFL Draft perspective, the biggest story has been what’s happening at the quarterback position. Or rather, what isn’t happening. Several quarterbacks highly rated by scouts and analysts over the summer have stumbled out of the blocks — Texas junior Arch Manning, Clemson senior Cade Klubnik and, to a degree, Penn State senior Drew... We’ve also seen others emerge, though, including players like Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, Oregon’s Dante Moore, Oklahoma’s John Mateer and Alabama’s Ty Simpson. Now that we have a month’s worth of data and film, let’s run through a first-round mock.
We’re using win projection totals from The Athletic’s Austin Mock to determine the order. Clemson’s Peter Woods and Auburn’s Keldric Faulk have an argument for this slot, and no one should rule out Ohio State safety Caleb Downs (my top-ranked prospect). However, I’m going with Bain, Miami’s uber-powerful and explosive junior edge who has responded to a ho-hum 2024 with a blazing start to 2025. Bain had dominant stretches against the run while picking up four pressures in Miami’s opener versus Notre Dame and has a combined 14 pressures in the Hurricanes’ last two games (USF and Florida). A defender who can line up anywhere in the box, Bain has a 28.9 percent win rate, 19 pressures, three sacks and 15 run stops this season. The 2025 NFL Draft wrapped up less than a month ago, and already, eyes are on next year’s event.
The Titans could use more blocking protection for Cam Ward. The 6-foot-6, 310-pound Fano has a lot of talent and has played well at tackle for the Utes. He has been a versatile tackle with 11 starts at left tackle and 13 at right tackle heading into the 2025 season. For the most part, Fano played on the left side in 2023 and on the right side in 2024. Fano is fast, athletic, and plays with a mean streak. He is a force as a run blocker and shows a lot of athleticism to take away speed rushers.
A lot of teams could fall in love with his tape. Unless Tyler Shough impresses over the final two months of the season, New Orleans will be looking for a true franchise quarterback. Simpson has been phenomenal in 2025, leading the Crimson Tide to some big wins against tough opponents. In 2025, Simpson has completed 67 percent of his passes for 2,461 yards with 21 touchdowns, an interception, and two rushing touchdowns. Simpson has shown some serious arm talent, making some beautiful throws downfield with superb ball placement to beat tight coverage. In tight games, Simpson made some great passes to lead his team to wins over Georgia and Missouri.
Simpson is accurate, smart, has a strong arm, and throws with timing and anticipation. Simpson has shown superb ball security this season as well, with excellent decision-making. The Giants grab a right tackle to help protect Jaxson Dart. The 6-foot-8, 309-pounder World dominated at Nevada, and if he plays as well at Oregon, he could skyrocket for the 2025 NFL Draft. As a pass blocker, World has a natural build with good size, strength, and length to play on the edge. He does a nice job of sinking his weight to stop bull rushes, and he shows an impressive ability to kill speed to power attempts.
World does an excellent job of sustaining his blocks with the upper body strength to tie up defenders. In the ground game, World uses his strong upper body to knock defenders back and push them around. He has real power at the point of attack and blocks with a mean streak. With overwhelming mass, he can knock defenders flat on their backs and will bury them with a violent pancake block. The Browns take their next hope for a franchise quarterback. Mendoza has completed 71 percent of his passes for 2,342 yards with 26 touchdowns and five interceptions.
He has two rushing touchdowns as well. The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder has a quality arm, reads the field well, makes good decisions, and has dangerous pocket passing ability. Mendoza played well for Cal in 2024. He completed 69 percent of his passes for 3,004 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. Mendoza has good size, and it will be interesting to see how he develops at Indiana. The Jets grab a franchise quarterback to build around.
Moore has been a dynamic point-producer for the Ducks in 2025, making plays with his arm and legs. In 2025, Moore has completed 71 percent of his passes for 1,884 yards with 19 touchdowns and five interceptions. Moore (6-3, 203) is a dangerous quarterback who is tough to defend. He has shown impressive arm talent and feel as a passer. Moore throws some beautiful deep balls and shows impressive composure and poise for a young player. Technically, rookie Tyler Shough is the Saints' starter for the rest of the season.
When New Orleans goes on the clock in the 2026 NFL Draft, Shough will almost certainly become the latest high-round pick whose team uses an even higher-round pick 12 months later in the hopes... The Panthers did it in 2011 when they took Cam Newton No. 1 overall, and the Cardinals did it eight years later when they selected Kyler Murray with the top pick. And as we sit here, nine weeks into the 2026 season, the Saints are staring that first-overall selection in the face. There will no doubt be discussions in the building about trading down and what such a draft haul might do to reset this roster, but if the organization feels that Fernando Mendoza or Ty... Former Titans GM Ran Carthon and I talked about this last week on "With the First Pick," our NFL Draft podcast:
In my Mock Draft 2.0, I have just three QBs going in the first round -- and one via trade; after trading down from No. 2 to No. 5 last April, the Browns move up from No. 6 to No. 2 in this excerise for a quarterback. And much like the conversation surrounding Shough, it's fair to assume that neither Dylan Gabriel or Shedeur Sanders (or any other QB currently on Cleveland's roster) will be penciled in as the 2026 starter...
